I keep coming back (all the way from Yonkers in Westchester) for the delicious sushi and excellent service at Blue Ribbon Sushi. It is my favorite place to have sushi and since I live in Westchester and work on Long Island, I have many choices - Blue Ribbon is by far, my favorite and definitely worth the trip (and worth the wait if there is a line).

I'd heard of BR Sushi for years. Tried it for lunch (menu is the same as dinner) and the food was fantastic. From the sashimi down to the soy sauce, ginger and wasabi, everything was top shelf quality. The portions are not "super-sized" like that of Tomoe but the pieces melt in your mouth. I'll definitely return to try more.

Food was good but very overated for the prices they were charging. Decent sushi, but nothing too spectacular.

absolutely divine, splendid, legendary, the stuff dreams are made of, awesome, tasty, all of these words/phrases come to mind when talking about blue ribbon sushi. The dynamite is well dynamite as are the pieces of sashimi. My favorites are the otoro fatty tuna belly's which melt in your mouth. Their miso butter sauce for the steamed lobster could be the best sauce in the game. Their specials are also outstanding. For dessert I'd go with a cup of green tea and some green tea creme brulee. Waiting around for a table can be a turnoff but certainly worth the wait for the food and impeccable service. I've never had a bad experience here. Very courteous staff and managers.

If I could choose a restaurant to eat at 7 days a week it would be BR sushi. I love this place - I constantly crave the huge chunks of fresh fish, the yummy rolls, and the great sake selection! It's no frills (a la Sushi Samba), just awesomely fresh, delicious sushi. Only catch (no pun intended): steep prices and no reservations. BUT still worth it!

Must try their Uni (if you dare!) right from the shell and their green tea creme brulee.

I think it's absolutely divine. I can't find better sushi unless I go to Nobu. The box eel roll is my fav.
