This restaurant has great sushi. The fish is so fresh you can still smell the ocean. I loved the food, service, and atmosphere. If you can, get a table in the front of the restaurant. It has a nice view of the whole sushi bar.

After hearing all the good reviews, thought i'd try this place out. The sushi was very underwhelming. I've had better takeout. You get a fresh feeling when eating good sushi which was lacking. It looked like it was just too salty. As far as the atmosphere, I saw single guys eating alone. Skip this place and go somewhere else.

The food is so good..I had the house salad which is very crisp with good dressing, miso soup where you mix in the miso paste yourself, vegetable rolls, rock shrimp tempura, shrimp dumplings, and green tea creme brulee which was amazing. I loved everything and the waiter was very nice and friendly. For two people it was around $50, we only drank water but ordered lots of food and dessert..The portions of certain things are small but it's delicious anyway.

Blue Ribbon has amazing sushi, the fish is always fresh. I highly reccomend this place, there are no reservations so getting there before 8 will help usually there is no wait...the best part is they're open untill 2 am. The rock shrimp tempora, House salad, & O-Toro are the best...they have yet to dissapoint me...a little expensive but worth every cent.

I went to Blue Ribbon to have sushi...and I was quite disappointed. They charge too much and do not have quality items like abalone, which an expensive sushi restaurant should have (try Zen for that!)... Also, I was uncomfortable when the hostess insisted I should have a big, not a small sake. I felt intimidated, and finished my meal a bit drunk...which helped me a lot for the 'check time'. Too expensive and not worth it.

You will NOT be disappointed. One of the best lobster deals in the city ($27.00 for a full lobster) and the miso butter sauce is the most divine substance that has every grazed my taste buds. Top it off with hot Sake and giggle with delight. Me and my roommates go here to celebrate special occaisions, and it's always a toss up between blue ribbon and peter lugers. Either way, you are looking at a fantastic meal, and about $80 weight lifted from your wallet. Expensive, but worth every penny in my opinion. Highly, highly recommended. Tip: On busy nights the wait can be over an hour, and they don't take reservations. Go early and leave your cell number, walk around west broadway for a while, they'll call you when the time draws nigh.

Very good, not excellent, but not expensive either, so I'd say very good for the $$. The atmosphere is just chill, not trying to be trendy so that's a plus.
