Ok, so we had a bit of a wait...20 minutes, so we decided to go get a drink down the street and they took our cell number and called us when it was ready, we took our time getting there and they held the table and seated us immediately. Service was quick and the food for the most part was good, we ordered the toro or fatty tuna and at 10 dollars a piece, it was fishy and i had to spit it out...when we asked for our bill we told the waiter that everything was great except for the toro, and he was kind enough to remove them from the bill. I will give them a second chance, i think it is a great place... ;0)

The food is simply fantastic. Fresh, subtle and delicous. Undoubtedly, some of the best Japanese food in NY. I'm staggered by the "just O.K. review" - it must be a set up, as the quality is so thoroughly consistent. I would reccomend: the yellowtail ceviche with quail egg, the seaweed salad, softshell crab rolls (special) and the albacore - melt in the mouth. Enjoy x

I have sushi twice a month. Because i live in midtown, i struggle to make it to the village to indulge myself with what is, by far the best fish in the city. The atmosphere is great, though not in the mory moto or masa category in price, equally matches their food quality. A definate suggestion!

Complain all you want about the prices, the wait, the service... nothing overshadows the fish here, which is incredible. sure, it's expensive, save it for a special occasion, but you won't regret it! i am a sushi lover for ten years, and i've never tasted sushi this good. enjoy!

Well, I gotta tell you, being from LA and visiting Soho for the first time, I was real excited when my girlfriend said that she was taking me to a "great" sushi place. Mind you, she is not a big sushi fan at all! In LA, it seems there is a sushi bar on every corner and there is fabulous quality everywhere. Blue Ribbon didn't deserve ANY ribbon as the sushi was VERY underwhelming, as one reviewer put it. It was not frsh at all. But my BIGGEST disappointment --- what is the deal with th suhsi chef not interacting and serving the sushi at the bar? Since when do you order from a waitress? Overall, a most disappointing experience!

A lot of good reviews but I just don’t get it the food at best satisfactory. Overall overpriced for what you get, portions are small and the quality is just OK but absolutely nothing more.
