    $21 for a roll?! seriously?!

i had very high hopes for this place, but when it came down to it, the i've had way better sushi. period. i had a $19 roll (not memorable whatsoever) and a "special" roll that wasn't even on the menu, suggested by my very handsome waiter. even that was sub-par. so incredibly dissappointed. our bill came up to $140 for a bad meal, one small glass of sake, one glass of plum wine, and a 16oz bottle of kirin (which was probably the best part of the meal). actually, no, the pickled ginger was really very very tasty.

    Excellent Sushi and service!

Took a trip to blue ribbon sushi in brooklynwitha friend. We ordered the omakase- chef's choice of the day and paid 60 a person for an absolutely amazing and delicious meal. Sushi doesn't come any fresher than this. . . .they even display the fish they carve for your meal as part of the presentation. When we finished, one of the fish were completely cleaned off and deep fried- I was hesitant at first, but have to say the skeleton was one of the most delicious items I have ever tasted. I highly recommend this place and its manhattan counterpart!

    great but expensive

found this place while out on a walk at midnight last night. said they were open til 2am so we decided to stay. had to wait about 15min for a table. we were happy :) a place that's this busy on a tues! food was very good. had the miso black cod for appetizer. recommend! the sushi and rolls were very good, but i think overpriced. and a little small. but again, very good, and very fresh! the staff was extreamly friendly. prob some of the best service i've had in te past 3years dining out in manhattan. tho it's a little over priced, i'm positive if it's late night & we are craving sushi, we'd definately consider this place. and we'd prob bring our friends, too.

I love this place! The staff is friendly, helpful and attentive. I've been here twice and when it's not busy the entire staff and Sushi line say good night to you on the way out! The sushi is fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is relaxing, and quiet enough that you can hear the rest of your dinner party. I recommend the edamame appetizer, Sake & Sake Kawa, Sake Ikura and Enoki & Hamachi Maki rolls -- delicious! I will be making this my monthly dinner get-together spot, but get there early (5:30-6:30) or else you may be waiting for quite a while!

I went here for lunch with a friend during the week. I was looking forward to our meal because of the positive reviews. I was definitely disappointed. The sushi was sub-par. I have had much better. I didn't think it was that fresh, and it had a 'fishy' smell--not a good sign. The waitress was fine, she didn't rush us, but she wasn't overly friendly. I thought the prices were expensive given the quality of the food. The rolls were over $8 each (not special rolls, just regular, like yellowtail scallion). Overall, I would not recommend this place.

    Delicious maki rolls

Definitely not cheap sushi and not a posh lively restaurant, but if you want delicious maki rolls in a relaxed and traditional atmosphere then this is your place. The california king blue crab rolls are delicious and the seared tuna salad with ginger salad is divine!! although at $15 is should be as we shared this between 2 as an apetizer.

    $80 snack

Went there last night. Food was ok but the quantity and prices were absurd. With tip I spent $80 for 2 & got about $25 dollars worth of Sushi. Extremely expensive, anyone who thinks this place is good hasn't been to a decent sushi place. Most likely they dont know any better.
