how is this place open?
i ordered the guac and a taco. The guac was $8 for guac that def came from a jar. I called back and told them the food was not the best and they weren't nice. Poor food and service and overpriced.

Wow, who would've thought a restaurant could make it serving burritos out of a can? The lack of patrons should have tipped us off. But no, we ventured. We learned. Much better restaurants are to be found on the Upper East Side!

Don't bother!
Stunningly poor delivery service. Usually I discount reviews where people complain about slow delivery service, because good food is good food and yes, I understand sometimes it takes awhile, especially when you order at a busy time. That being said, it should not take 1 1/2 hours (and counting!!) for food to be delivered, no matter when it is. This is ridiculous; don't bother ordering from here. The food is only just ok - not the best, but not bad esp. since there aren't a ton of good mexican food options on the upper east side. When i called to ask about our order, the guy on the phone wasn't even all that shocked or bothered it had been so long.

It's a sports bar
I love this place. It's a simple sports bar that has a reasonable beer selection, a good selection of mex-like bar food, and an excellent staff. I come here to have a beer and relax with friends. The nachos are actually very good. If you come here expecting a sports bar, you will be happy. If you come here expecting a Rick Bayless quality Mexican meal, well, then you're an idiot. Just my 2 cents.

This place is more like a beer bar that serves the most awful Mexican food in the city. I cannot describe how terrible the food we ordered was. It tasted unfresh, as though all ingredients came out of cans. How this establishment survives is a big question. Do not order food here. Stick with a beer. Or just skip the place, a better idea.

Excellent Neighborhood Spot
I go to the Blue Moon at least once or twice a week. The staff is so welcoming, the patrons are friendly - It's a great place to catch a game, have good food and nice, friendly conversation. The food is good, the burritos, the chicken wings, the salsa. The portions are good. The prices are good. The happy hour bar deals are great. It's a great place to go, sit at the bar, chat with others, get a well poured drink at a decent price while eating free chips and salsa.

Really nice staff
Aside from the pleasant staff, Blue Moon serves the freshest tex mex I've had in a while. I asked and they told me they make all their guacamole, salsa, and other sauces in house!! I can't wait to go back for another giant burrito.
