Been here too many times to count...food is tasty and plentiful...drinks avg for cheap nyc bar...eat pre 730pm mon thru sun for price fix deal...app, beer/drink, and burrito for under 12 bucks...owner nice guy and serv abv avg...1st ave is the best st in nyc...real peops here...nyc din under $30...hw yu like me now???

I've been to Blue Moon on the UES twice because I'm a fan of the one on the west side, but both times this place was subpar. The first time we ordered it to go, and the food was just not good. The second time we decided to give it another try and ate in, but the service was horribly slow and the food was some of the worst mexican food I have ever had in this city. I may originally be from Texas, but I am not picky about my Mexican food. I will pretty much try any place in the city (because some mexican food is better than none at all) but this was not good at all.

Won't be back. If you have a child you can't control this place is for you. If you want to eat in a nursery Blue Moon is perfect. So many better spots to choose from in the neighborhood. 'Bye!

I don' t normally write reviews but in this case: My Girlfriends and I had no real plans for NYE, and we felt like having Margaritas!! So we randomly picked Blue Moon! When we first got there we were told their were no specials..boo :( but there also was no cover! The Bartenders were great! especially the hot one with tattoos, he played great music for us and was so nice we will go back again and again! We did'nt eat (except for chips and salsa) so I can't tell you how the food is, but the drinks were great! I don't know if the crowd is like that all the time but it sure was a great way to bring in 2009!! Our next girls night out will be there again just so we can see the cutie Rock Star behind the bar!

My wife and I could not even eat our meals. The food in this bar (how can one call it a restaurant when there is such an obvious lack of ability to cook edible food?!) is just subpar I truly believe their ingredients comes out of cans rather then from butchers and other vendors of fresh ingredients.

Just got bck from there and lthough I ordered 1 beef and 2 chicken enchiladas, they brought me 3 chcken instead Not only that ,but it took 45 minutes. The margaritas werent good either. The only good thing about the meal was the company and the cute baby in the restaurant. Thank g-d she probably had pureed pers for dinner.

The atmosphere really lured us in one night but the food will have to be better for a second visit. Pretty good service, the wait staff all seemed very friendly, no problems there. Cheap "meal deals" before 7 on weekdays as long as you aren't looking for authentic or great Mexican food. I've had my share of fast and authentic Mexican meals and this wasn't at the top of either list. Despite the large portions we will be looking elsewhere.
