    Sushi to die for

Maybe it was because the cocktails were amazing but the sushi was outstanding. I would go back to this place every night if I could afford it. It is expensive, but well worth it. The atmosphere is great, the service was tremendous, and the food, even better. I am a die hard sushi fan, even went to a well-known sushi bar just down the street from Blue Fin, but I would pick Blue Fin over the other (to remain anonymous) anyday! GO! And afterwards, go to the "fish-bowl" the bar on the main floor where you can be seen drinking with your friends, by all the envious passer-byers.

    Absolutely delicious

One of my favorite places to go when I go to a show. You won't get better food or service. Problems: it IS pricey and it's not quiet.

    Cool place

Nice atmosphere, although it can get loud. The food was pretty good. The clam & lobster chowder was disappointing - very watery with 1 tiny piece of lobster and 1 clam in the whole thing. The sesame crusted tuna was excellent, so it made up for it. Our waiter was very good, but the kitchen is a bit slow.

    Worth a visit

My husband and I went there before a show. We had reservations at 6:15pm. The place was packed but we were seated right away. Our waitress was great and very attentive to our needs/questions. The only drawback is, my husband ordered the Tuna and when the entrees came he was handed chilean sea bass. The manager came over to check on us at the same time his "wrong" dish was served and in seconds she came back with the correct entree. The food was good, just like Blue Water Grill...so if you like that kind of place, I say try this restaurant...it was a cool place.

    Where did my food go?

Went last night with a party of 10. The Rack of Lamb with figs was unbelievable, but I didn't get to finish it! I was literally still holding my fork when the remainder of my meal was whisked away!

    Good experience!

My friend and I went to the Blue Fin last week and really enjoyed it. It was a little pricey but the food was good and the waitress was really sweet. We liked the atmosphere - the dimmed lighting and the tea - light candles on the stairs. Also, the location is ideal if you're walking around midtown. I am actually going back there next week.

Slightly below the BR Guest Standard

While I would highly recommend dining at any one of the BR Guest restaurants; I'm starting to feel that their newer locations are just about atmosphere and the bar...not the food or service. Pricing was moderate to high but the quality of the food is good....just not as high in quality as you would expect. Sushi was creative, but you can't compare against the traditional joints in the city. Our waiter kept trying to push the higher ticket items on both the menu and the wine list - which is ok if he knew what he was talking about. Tough to get them to come by while you're dining - they only come by to check once in a while to see if you want to order more drinks. One postive note - designer did a very good job designing the place...very cool. p.s. Don't forget to bring a dollar to the restroom for the attendant!
