Birthday treat
We were there this past weekend and it was amazing, the atmosphere was breath taking it was a bit overwhelming for those of us who are layed back but you get over that real fast. My husband and I were seated upstairs and our waiter Michael was wonderful answering our questions (what is this and how do you say it?) and gave perfect recommendations. The food was amazing and I had the Teriayki Chicken salad and my husband had the chicken cobb and the both of us were thrilled!

great theater place
Nice airy ambiance for a theater district restaurant cheerful, pleasant service... week-end brunch a great deal with complimentary drinks and wide selection of menu items... lobster benedict was excellent!

I'e had better
The manager "Josh" is very nice, young ad good looking. The sushi was good but not great. The pries are resonable, the service - no complaints. I just expected excellent food.

One of my favorite NYC restaurants
This is by far one of my top 10 new york restaurants. I have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. It is in the W times square, so the space is very trendy and cool looking with great decor. I have also come here for appetizers and drinks and had a great experience. It seems out of place in times square, but I am sure glad it is there b/c I work 2 blocks from it. I highly recommend it.

great!
Went to Blue Fin last night for my birthday after reading the review in Time Out New York. We were not disappointed. The service was thorough and well paced. WE WERE DEFINITELY NOT RUSHED.In all, our 4 course meal with two bottles of wine were spaced out over a leisurely 3 hours. I had the grouper which was DIVINE. It came with a butternut squash risotto that was absolutely perfect. The filet looked delish and the salmon with crayfish chowder was perfectly seasoned. It was fairly loud but we were told that some foreign dignitary was having a party upstairs. Not that we minded, our waiter swiped some of the chocolates and desserts they were serving upstairs and gave us a wide arrays of sweets to try in addition to the desserts we had already ordered. YUMMY

Fan of the Fin
I frequent the Fin since I work right across the street. This place is among my local faves. The food has never, ever disappointed, and I'm most impressed with their wine selection (rare it is that I can go out and enjoy a great Riesling w/ my fish...they've got a few here). Their sushi is great, their fish dishes are "slammin'" as my co-workers say. The decor is beautiful, though not so intimate. It's a great place for a client dinner meeting or a family dinner, or even a small party. I'd not recommend it for a date, since the place is large and not very cozy (unless it's a "fly by" drinks...great to sit down near the upstairs bar). Overall, love it. I'm a true fan of the Fin.

Delicious restaurant week deal!
Went for restaurant week and was delighted with the food. All 3 courses were delicious. We did feel a bit rushed during the meal, and it was obvious that our waitress was a bit overwhelmed. She asked us about dessert before we were served the main dish, confused us with a different table at least 3 times and was overall a little out of it, but the place was packed, so it was understandable. The restaurant itself doesn't seem to be anything special, but my guess is it might be fun to people watch from the window at the bar looking out onto Times Square. Would go back for the food, that's about it though.
