The food was very good and an interesting combination of flavors. Service was friendly whenever you got any attention Had to ask for coffee refills, condiments, etc. Seemed unaware of what is needed for the meal to be complete. Could have just been our server

The sushi was absolutely amazing! A little small though, order a lot if that is your main meal. The entrees were good, but not necessarily worth the price. Great atmosphere and service! Perfect for before and after the theater. Try the Blue Fin Cocktail!

The food here is delicious, but the lackadaisical service spoiled the experience for us. The servers are very friendly and pleasant, but don't know the first thing about the kind of service a great restaurant demands. I'd go back, but with a an extra helping of patience!

What an experience. I had made reservations for my wife and I to eat at the Blue Fin last night. From the minute we walked in, it seemed like a place which catered to its customers. The waitress was very courteous and was great to work with. The atmosphere was very trendy and chic. The crowd was young but mature. Now on to the dinner. I had the clam chowder and my wife had the crab cakes for starters. The clam chowder was great, but the crab cakes were off the hook. It was like a party in my mouth. For the main course, I had the striped bass and my wife had the salmon special which they were running that evening. We both loved the fish as it was prepared quite well with just the perfect amount of portions. For dessert we both had the creme brule, which was fantastic. They gave an assortment of blueberry, raspberry, and plain custard. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Blue Fin and recommend it to everyone. Bon Apetite!!

Like others, we had reservations for a pre-theater dinner. We are from out-of-state; my husband found Blue Fin on the internet, but I was honestly a little apprehensive (on the internet? are you nuts?) It was the best dining experience we've ever had in the City. Every single thing -- the waitestaff, food, ambience -- made us feel special. Jeez -- he's still talking about the fancy bathrooms! We'll be back.

I have now gone to Blue Fin several times, as I am an avid theater go-er, and always find it hard to find fresh innovative restaurants in the theater district. I never have trouble finding great Italian places, but when you want something a little different, it is difficult to separate the tolerable mainstream fare from the polished and quite extroadinary - So, when I found Blue Fin, I held on to as if it had a sign up for Closing. Within the past month, I have been 3 times! I, myself, am a person who needs the decor to be appealing, and the architecture at BF is eye catching- It has an industrial look that is complimented by glass walls and a very interesting mid air art work as you walk up the stairs. The food is best said as being alot of fun- the sushi is out of this world- the triple eel dragon roll simply melts in your mouth and the interesting flavors of chilaen sea bass with sweet miso glaze and shrimp roll with curry sauce all tantalize your taste buds--- and please, do not have this experience without have the BFellini (you will never be satisfied by a regular bellini again), or the tasting of creme brulee! I now know that lavendar is not just for the bath tub. If you can, request NICK to be your server- he is an aspiring model, and you can get some quality time with him before you see him on the billboard in times square! Bon Apetit!
