Blue 9 Burger

$8.31 for a double cheeseburger, fries, and med. soda is a little too expensive for my taste, especially because the burger wasn't even big. It was their biggest burger and it probably was only a 1/4 pound. Imagine what a regular burger would be like? The fries were too scrawny and overcooked. The burger was good though, despite of the size. Overall, I'd recommend it if they lower their prices by $2.

As a grilled cheese (non-meat) eater, I was wary of going to an "In-N-Out-like" place for fear of dissapointment. But for all of you vegetarians out there, they do have grilled cheese. And the girl at the register did ask if I wanted onions on that. However, the request for a neapolitan shake confused her. And there's no incredible smell when you walk in the door, no sqeaky clean and friendly service, no cheerful calling of the numbers. But as a cali girl stranded in NYC, I guess it's the best that can be done.

I have been eating far too many of these cheeseburgers because the delivery is usually quick, the burgers arrive warm and melted and the strawberry shakes are yummy with real strawberries. I love these burgers. The only thing that could make these burgers better is if they were organic. Hopefully their food and or service will go downhill soon, or I might gain a dress size.

I got the Blue 9 Burger and fries to go. The burger was okay, covered in a light orange-colored sauce that reminded me of the kind that comes on a McDonalds Big Mac. I was relieved to find that the burgers do indeed come with lettuce and tomato, but the sauce made the bun really soggy. The fries are definitely not the best. They're not even close to being good. First, they're unsalted. Then, they are sliced so thin, it's like eating an entire order of those little shriveled crunchy fries you find at the bottom of the fry carton when you get fast food. It was not good.

The point of getting burgers from this place because they have the sauce. But when they dropped the burgers off, no sauce! Called, said that they will be sending it right over. An hour later I called again they put me on hold FOREVER. Now they are telling me that the sauce doesn't come with burgers. The manager was fighting with me. What a waste of time.

Blue 9 fully satisfied my craving for an In-N-Out burger.. They're not exactly the same and the fries could be better but its close enough for me. Thank you Blue 9. Now all I need is some decent mexican food in the city and i'll never have to go to Cali again.

But it is the next best thing we've got going here in NY. It's especially good if you are in the delivery area. What better thing is there than picking up the phone and voila...a juicy and delicious cheese burger at your front door in less than 20 minutes. Our favorite fast food burger in NY!
