Blue 9 Burger
Posted by Brian on 07/23/2007
I remember when I first used to buy burgers here, they were amazing. Nowadays, it seems they cook it way to fast, most of the time the burger looks good on the outside, but is red on the inside, I'm not a big fan of that. The fries are becoming more soggier by the day which just sucks. I still recommend this place though. Their mango chili sauce is still amazing. If you don't like you burgers rare on the inside, just tell them to have your burger well done. I'm sure they will oblige.

This is the best burger in NYC but the service is not good. One time I ordered and it took them 2 hours for the cold food to get to my apartment. I had a few good ones and then they delivered me food with no fries or coke. The burger is worth all the hassle.

I'm a terribly food-neurotic person when it comes to my meat, and I eat at Blue 9 Burger. The burgers are so fresh, and they're not frozen -- they're made then and there.... mmm. The Russian dressing is a big plus.

the burger is great! the fries are ok, but the melted cheese makes it up. overall one of the better burgers in nyc

Burgers are somewhat tasty, but very very greasy. Beware the "grilled cheese" - its NOT grilled cheese sandwich but actually a plain hamburger bun without any meat, just a slice of cheese. The best thing going for Blue 9 is the Mango Chili Fry Dip, excellent sauce and its free, right next to the ketchup dispenser. Compared to fast food joints its good, but there are many better options in the neighborhood for a burger.

I live 5 blocks away and didn't feel like walking. Heard good things about this place and how comparable it is to In N Out. I ordered at 1:36PM Sunday Afternoon. Got my food at 2:55PM. Whatever, maybe they're busy. Opened my cold burger and it was not very good. Fries were soggy. Probably will never go back.

Good burgers, great fries. A mixture of half ketchup, half fry sauce is awesome. I'm not too happy about paying $8.72 for a burger, fries, and soda, but that's the way it goes in NYC. I think it's probably better than Paul's for the money, and certainly has a less obnoxious interior.
