good food poor service
this place is good very tasty do not get me wrong but the employees and delivery service are just straight up sub-standard. the first time i called i was put on hold and the man ended up hanging up. The second time i called the guy was dismissive... now im just waiting for my food it'll make me feel better. They need to stop being rude, someone needs to print these reviews and tape it to their door.

Great burgers, poor delivery
OK, burgers, fries, mango dipping sauce and especially smoothies are awesome! Service is poor :-( Delivery or order from inside they are very dismissive, distracted, make mistakes all the time and don’t care for their patrons. They promise 25-30 minutes, but if you get it in 45, consider yourself lucky. Yesterday I waited for well over an hour, and every time I called I was assured that the guy was on the way and will be here in just a few minutes. Bottom line: take your chances. If you want good burgers and smoothies and got the time on your hands and won’t be offended by lousy order-taking, this is a great place!

Finally fed up
I like this place, I really do. The burgers are good and the fries, especially the dipping sauce, can be excellent. But attitude, service - just not there. I waited nearly an hour today for a delivery and everything was ice cold - except the soda! I think this place had better decide is they want people's business or not - and if so, they had better take a long hard look at how they treat people & being honest about delivery times. Bah humbug!

a go to
i order delivery from blue 9 more than once or twice a week at the least. i have noticed it is generally much faster during the day than at night. every once in a while the burger or the fries (one time both) will be soggy or sub par, but 9 out 10 times it is on point, as well as really cheap for manhattan! the cheese sauce for the fries is much tastier than typical nacho cheese sauce and i recommend it.

Don't order delivery here
Without my asking, the man taking the order said delivery would take a half hour. After reading the other reviews, maybe it was a reflexive lie? The food arrived an hour late and all the food was cold, including the grilled cheese sandwich (on a bun that wasn't toasted). Avoid this place.

Not recommended
I waited well over an hour for my food. I read the mixed reviews but love "In and Out", so thought I would give it a shot. The burger was sloppy and the bun was wet from way too much sauce. The fries were greasy and also soggy, completely inedible.

Disappointing?? Gimme a break!
I lived in New York for 3 years and now that I've returned to Johannesburg for work, I miss Blue9 more than anything else. The burgers are always fresh, juicy and delicious and could be charged at twice the price they sell 'em for. You tried their milkshakes and health smoothies? Only the most quality ingredients used! I went to Blue9 about 3/4 times a week and I agree, it's not a 5 star establishment, but if you're into the good ol' American burger joint, that's exactly what it is, and it doesn't claim to be anything more.
