Good choice
I was invited here for lunch by a client I work with. The decor fits in with NYC. The decor and atmosphere were elegant but, not stuffy. The food was good, nothing exceptional but, nothing to complain about either. I started with the caesar salad, great presentation followed by the grilled tuna that was done to prefection. The popovers are a must try and probably the highlight of the meal. The service was excellent. Very attentive but, not intrusive waiters.

Expected sophistication and elegance.
We eat at places like BLT Steak expecting a certain decor, ambience, service, and of course great food. And - for the most part - that's what my dining companion and I received when we lunched here recently. The service was courteous and professional. The ambience offered sober color and a tasteful setting. (Well, what did we expect, bright lights and flamingos!?) But I must confess, the popovers were the meal's best part. Think of hot, doughy, gigantic muffin-shaped rolls, with butter and sea salt and even a little card with directions to make them at home. Even Dr. Atkins might have approved of these gooey concoctions. We both had ceasar salads to start with. Caesar is a hard salad to mess up, but BLT Steak did a terrific and flavorful one. For entrees we each had the hanger steak, mine with three mustards to dip and my companion's with steak sauce. They both came with grilled onions and a little herbed butter pat. The steak was a little tough (hanger steak usually is) but very succulent. My companion had a little trouble cutting and chewing his. The creamed spinach was a small portion and nothing extraordinary. Next time we will order several sides if we plan to share. The overall restaurant experience, though, was quite satisfactory. The bill, including tax and tip, came to a reasonable $100 for the two of us. Not the kind of place you eat at everyday, but for special occasions it's quite a treat.

What a great place!
I went with some friends to blt steak last night and it was so much better than i thought. this is a hot restaurant and it lived up to the hype. service was very attentive, we did wait but had a great time at the bar. even got to watch a bit of the yankees game at the sauve bar. the food is not your everyday steakhouse food. this goes far and beyond. steaks are great! the wines we drank were also great with many interesting finds. much impressed. i will be back again.

You have to go!
After hearing about this restaurant for over a year, I finally made it, and boy am I glad I did. Starting with the Maitre D’ when I walked in, through my last bite of dessert (peanut butter mousse that was out of this world) it was everything I hoped for. We waited about 15 min after our reservation time which we didn’t mind because I enjoyed one of their special cocktails. The sommelier was great, the servers were more than attentive but not over bearing, even the managers seemed to be very involved, and there wasn’t a single disappointment all night. I will be telling everyone I know that I have a new favorite restaurant.

Loved every bite!
Went last week and had a great time! I highly recommend this restaurant - not your traditional steak house. The food was amazing... make sure you have an empty stomach! The maitre'd was very knowledgeable. Our server took care of us as well. I will definitely be back!

This is a must go
My friends and i dined last Saturday and absolutly loved it!!! We were greeted kindly by the Maitre D and seated promptly. The food was amazing (popovers especially) and the waiter was very attentive. I highly recommend the Tuna Tartar and the Filet which were both delicious.
