    BLT Prime is awesome

I was at BLT Prime a few weeks ago and loved it. Every sauce is amazing and every dish is amazing. Excellent service too. I HIGHLY recommend it!

    Delish & Divine

We were visiting NYC and took some locals to dinner. Our experience was phenomenal and our waiters could not have been more attentive to our table. The bleu cheese tator tots melted in our mouth and the NY strip was not only cooked to perfection but the flavor was outstanding. The side dishes of grilled asparagus was fresh & delish. The variety of desserts were so yummy especially the banana cream pie. We highly, highly recommend this restaurant for a nice and fun dinner out with friends.

    BLT Just Fine

After reading several negative reviews was reluctant to try the place. It was pretty good. The bread with the pate can be skipped but the greasy garlic bread was heavenly. Had to control myself. Had the goat cheese and roasted beets to start. good. Hubby and i shared the porterhouse for 2. It was cooked just as we had ordered and even had leftovers. Dessert, the toffee coffee sundae was the only thing i thouight was not good. Too heavy in the coffee flavor and i am a huge coffee fan. Great meal. Too much wine.

    Not Cooked to Order

If you read no further . . . I don't recommend BLT Prime. Atmosphere at BLT Prime is a step above BLT Fish and the crowd is exceptional; unfortunately, I?ve never seen three pieces of meat so poorly cooked. First, the lamb t-bone, came pre-chopped into bite size chunks. The person ordering it was not sitting in a highchair so why oh why would you chop up a piece of meat? Second, the filet, ordered as rare as the chef would cook it, came medium rare at best. Although tender and the best of the three entrees, the filet had not one drop of juice. Filet should never be dry and is tender at even the local diner. Finally, I ordered the Kobe hangar steak special, medium rare. The meat came medium well and was extremely dry. I can think of two restaurants off the top of my head that serve delicious hangar steaks for one-third the price yet tasting ten times better. The side dishes were exceptional including a morel mushroom delicacy. Other than the chocolate cake, the desserts were disappointing and the dessert table had an air of Las Vegas about it. The sommelier was attentive. The wait staff, although courteous, was lacking in training and language skills. In general, the wait staff exacerbated every problem we had with the meal instead of steering our $400 dinner back on course. For example, to make up for the chopped lamb t-bone, the restaurant bought our table an additional dessert. I had a three minute conversation with the waiter deciding between two desserts. What would most waiters bring as the additional dessert? Unfortunately, not the other one we considered. He brought cheesecake. We didn?t eat it. I?m sorry, but the only American Kobe I want to see again is not on my plate, but on the basketball court.

Great Food, Great Service, Great Experience

I had an unbelievable meal here. I went with 3 friends. The food is incredible. I am a huge steak fan and always eat at Peter Lugers or Wolfgang's. Although I will not compare this to those restaurants, I will tell you that this is the Best Gourmet steak house in the city. I love all of the sides, and all of the food. I am a huge fan of all of their restaurants.

    Great food, so so service

Had dinner with 5 friends last night and the food was truly impressive. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. No fancy, trendy dishes but updated takes on all the classics whether a beet salad or crab cake. The dover sole, lamb chops and kobe skirt were devoured by us all. Forget about watching your carbs for the night and eat the bread, the onion rings and the blue cheese tater tots, too. While the food was one of the best meals we all enjoyed in some time the service was disappointing. No one EVER asked how everything was or if we needed anything and there are throngs of servers, suits and busboys hustling and busltling all over the place. My favorite was the one who kept checking his blackberry - maybe if I emailed him I might have gotten a drink sooner?

There isn't anything but BLT in NYC

I had dinner last night (Saturday) the room was full and the vibe was awesome, the people were gorgeous and so is the staff. It is an impeccable room, huge and intimidating but very slick and elegant. the hostesses were very, very kind and accommodating. The maitre'd gave us a great table with a great view of the whole restaurant. They also have a big fun mezzanine for large parties. Our server was attentive and genuine, and he offered lots of options for us to choose as a couple. The food arrived promptly and it was cooked perfectly. Aged meat tastes so much better than I expected. My girlfriend had the lamb and it was also awesome. I think i will return here and try everything on the menu. This is a great place for a date and also if you ever want to bring business colleagues. Give it a try. Even if it's at the bar!
