Wow the food was amazing! We had the lobster and we are all avid lobster eaters and this was hands down the best lobsters we have ever eaten! If Maine was competing they would lose the contest! 1. The place was great ambiance! 2. The app's were awesome (the raw bar was great) 3. The dinner as above was AMAZING 4. The cholcalate Soufle was to die for the only slightly negative thing was the staff was stand-off-ish. Eat here and you will be hooked! I am trying the down stairs fish shake next!!

I have never been so impressed as I was last saturday when I ate at BLT Fish upstairs. The food, service, and ambiance was off the chart amazing. I didn't understand the differences between the upstairs dining room and the Shack, but I will definitely be back to try downstairs. The staff was so accommodating to all of us! Highly recommended for a fun night in NYC

BLT is a high end "chain restaurant". The food is ok and the service is pushy. The atmosphere is young and trendy. The management and staff lack professionalism and customer service. It is clear they want you to spend as much as possible. As the Manager told me our clients are high end and the price or value of anything on the menu is irrelevant and they are insulted if it is brought up. Not the place if you are looking for quality, service, appropriate pricing, and a personal touch.

Every time I dine at BLT Fish I have such a great experience. This past week was my third time here and I have tried something new with each visit. I took my mother who is a terribly picky eater and she loved the food and the waiters were all very friendly and we got all of our food quickly. The portions are big, we split a whole fish and still had plenty left over. The gnocchi is a delicous side dish and I adore the complimentary deserts that they send at the end....All in all it was a great experience once again...Looking forward to coming back!!

Can't agree more with the January review titled "Dissapointment." My experience was almost identically terrible. On the positive, the space is attractive and the whole fish presentation looks very interesting. Downside is everything else, namely the taste of the food. Tuna had such odd flavors it was barely edible and only made worse by the wasabi sauce suggested by waiter, which I am pretty sure was just soy. Scallop entre would barely be passable as a tapas plate, I didn't even know scallops were harvested that small. I expected good things having eaten at some of the other BLT places but perhaps they should stick to meat and stay away from fish. Price to experience this was one of the worst meals I've had.

all the seafood was fresh and perfectly prepared. we had the small seafood platter (enough for 4) and shared 3 entrees. the chilean sea bass and red snapper was out of this world. the scallops were tasty, but i won't get it next time. the atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable. service was phenomenal.

After eating at the upstairs dining room, it's the only thing I could think of that would explain any bad review. It was one of the best dining experiences ever, from the elegant/casual atmosphere, friendly service to the innovative cuisine bursting with flavor and freshness. OMG. The Chilean Sea Bass was "top-shelf" the freshest, tastiest I've ever had. All the sauces they use compliment the food excellently. My friend had the scallops which were also huge, tender and "orgasmically" delicious. The only criticism I could make was that because of the sun roof, they do not have the room cooled comfortably enough. They're working on it.
