who knew?
To me, the 9th Ave area was so foreign (and a bit too far from my office on 7th Ave) that I was never interested in coming for dinner. This place proved me wrong! Their cape cod cakes were amazing. You cannot believe that no fish is in it. I appreciate creativity they put into each dish through garnish, sauces etc. And unlike any other vegan places that are more, eh, hippie-ish, this place offers a classy, contemporary atmosphere!! Perfect place for couples!! I just went there but want to go back already! It's a $$$ place, so I have to keep it like a treat for myself every now and then, but $$$ is so worth it.

Great vegan food
I love this place, and hesitate to give it a good review for fear other people will find it out. Still, if you want a really warm, soothing, vegan experience with great food, you can't go wrong. Yes, it's a little pricey, but worth it.

Vastly overpriced, oily, bland
$21 for a plate of vegetables -- very few vegetables -- that have been drenched in oil and cooked till they lose all taste? What?

Very Good!
Food was awesome... Everything on the Menu sounded great. We had the Beet salad and the Ravioli for apps and the Port Wine Seitan for dinner and there was nothing left on any of our plates. The Stroganoff looked great as well. We also had the Ganache for dessert. Everything was amazing!!

Vegan for non-Vegans
I am a devout meat eater and I love this place. I think I like it more than my vegetarian girlfriend. I wish I knew how they made food this good with no butter, cream, cheese or any other animal products. Really really incredible.

Amazing Vegan food, even for meat eaters!
I went to Blossom last night with a vegan friend of mine (I am not vegan or vegetarian) and was blown away with the food. We started off with a beet salad that was very simple and delicious, but it was the entrees that totally amazed me. I had the port wine seitan and my friend got the special "risotto" which was not made out of rice at all but shredded cauliflower. The port wine sauce with mushrooms, served over the seitan and mashed potatoes, was perfectly seasoned and so yummy-superior to any other meat/chicken dish with port wine sauce I have ever tried. The risotto was also delicious and came with breaded pieces of polenta that tasted just like mozzarella sticks. We ended the night with the chocolate ganache cake w/vanilla soy ice cream-another hit! I definately could become a vegan knowing that such a restaurant exists. If you are vegan, vegetarian, or a meat eater like me, I would definately recommend this restaurant for any occasion!
