I live in the neigborhood and go to Blooms for brunch every weekend. There's rarely a long wait time for a table. The servers are always very friendly and helpful. The food always comes out quickly and properly prepared. Portions are more than enough. Good selection, too. Yeah, it's pretty much a typical diner but their food is good quality. I'd recommend this place.

The restaurant is clean and the food is fine but perhaps not enough servers. We had to wait for one breakfast long after everyone else on our table had theirs, had to ask twice for juice, twice for toast, twice for the check. Still went back the next day, same problems, asked for wholewheat got white, had to ask twice for juice, was never asked for refill of coffee. Will go elsewhere next time.

I recently visited NY and stayed at the grand hyatt who recommended we try blooms. we went for lunch and had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. since i am on a diet I had a special low calorie omelete served on lettuce and tomatoes and avacado. It was very tasty. And a large portion. my husband had a blooms new york deli triple decker sandwich which was very big. enough for 2 persons. it was very delicious. he also had french fried potatoes. i was surpised with the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. this same meal would cost more in germany. it was wortht the small wait. i will definitley come back when i am visiting NY again.

Being my first visit to New York I wanted to find a decent restaurant for breakfast at reasonable prices close to my hotel. I stumbled upon Blooms and was very impressed with the food and service. Staff were friendly, service was fast and the food was good, we ate there every day (three adults) for breakfast and the bill with tip was averaging around $35. I can recommend this restaurant for a quick fast breakfast

I work every Saturday and Sunday. On Saturdays I usually get breakfast from the Trend Cafe (they are excellent!) But they are closed on Sundays. I have been looking for a good breakfast spot for Sundays so I decided to try Bloom's. Let me tell you - I have never been so disappointed. Egg white sandwich had soggy bread, eggs were OK, corned beef hash tastes MUCH better from a can than from this place, french fries were bland and flavorless, and the price was outrageously high. I should have checked the reviews first - when a restaurant has more bad reviews than good, be aware.

Expensive sandwiches were not good. So big that I had to take it apart and eat with a fork. Very dry sanwiches - not a very memorable lunch.

I am from UK so maybe I expect to much ,found the food tastless and the service lazy ,dry pickles and watery coleslaw just dont do it for me.Annoyed to find a service charge in such a basic place dont usually mind service charge but hate it when there is no service,if you dont mind paying for inedible food and bad service then this is the perfect place for you.
