Menu Changes Something to be Desired
I know blockheads isnt the best mexican it definitely has great burritos. I am really disappointed about the menu changes though. They have taken a ton of the burritos off the menu and some were personal favorites. My wife always ordered one of their vegetarian burritos but now you cannot get any burritos with vegetables in it. I thin there used to be around 21 different burritos available which has been narrowed down to maybe 7 or 8. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING.

Great place, but no liquor in drinks
Sure the drink deals are good, but you are getting what you pay for. Three of those big margaritas and not even a buzz? Even a regular at Kinsale would feel something after three big margaritas. They put a very dimunitive amount of tequila in these, and I'd opt for the cheap champagne, they short change the mimosas as well. Good food though.

We go to brunch here every weekend
their brunch special lets you choose an entree (i always get the salsa cruda omelette, which is so fresh!) and you can get a coffee or tea and UNLIMITED mimosas or champagne....all for 9.95. you can also buy a mojito or margarita for like 3.50, which i havent tried yet, but will. you also get free salsa and chips with your meal. the sock monkeys are cute and the servers are quite polite (esp. compared with the normal nyc server). it is plenty of food for a reasonable price. not really authentic mexican, i think, but it is good food with a sw flair.

Perfect for...
Oversized burritos, margaritas, and a ton of delicious chips and salsa. Not for the food snob as quantity may trump quality. Not for the atmosphere snob, either; you'll share dinner with monkey portraits. I still love it.

Gotta Love the Sock Monkeys
Going to Blockheads with a group of friends for the dinner special and drinks is a great night out. It's a good value, and the food tastes really fresh. The service is really friendly and attentive, they were really good about getting a table pretty fast for a large group with no res. We were there for a while one night and got a free round of tequilla shots for our whole table - about 11 people. Their margaritas and mojitos are awesome, esp. for $3.

Great food for a great price
This a great place to get really good food at an unbeatable price. I love thier mini-good burritos with salad - which I am able to get in a wheat tortilla with brown rice at no extra charge. It may be the case that Blockheads does not taste like authentic Mexican but all I know is that I get a good frresh meal at a great price. I highly recommend it!

Great Mexican food
This place is great for all occasions. The manager is a wonderful beautiful lady. The food was amazing. The price was great only if you get the special which includes dessert. The margaritas are delcious and for $3 each you can not get that just anywhere. Our server was great, real friendly and smiley. He really knew what he was doing. They are family friendly. I love this place. I go there every sunday. It became a tradition. Plus there is a movie theater and shopping 4 blocks over.
