Not good anymore
I used to like this place however the quality keeps dropping. Last time I was here for brunch its seemed like the staff just couldn't do anything well. Two people in my party got food they didn't order and one of us did not get served until everyone had already finished eating. The food has become very bland. I had fond memories of great brunches here. After several disappointing experiences I will not return again. Too bad!

Best hangover food
Love this place. The food is filling and delicious but still healthy. They offer whole wheat tortilla, brown rice and even soy cheeses. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

Festive!
Blockheads is hands down the most festive restaurant in the neighborhood. Its cheerful decor and excessive drink specials add vibrance to any night out and ensure that special occasions such as birthdays are appropriately overdone. In addition, they have healthy burrito options and lots of veggie choices. Extra points for attracting a diverse crowd representative of the neighborhood.

Cheap TexMex
If you like cheap ingredients, flour tortillas and tasteless texMex, this is your place. Crowded with college crowd for its low prices and contant staple.

So Good & Offers Vegan/Vegetarian Options!
I love Blockheads, Benny's Burritos and Harry's Burritos (the whole trio--same menu, different names) the food is really good, it's a great value and I love that they offer soy cheese and tofu sour cream...allowing me to have a real quesadilla or burrito for the first time in a long time! I come here at least twice a month. I highly recommend it!

Great drinks, reasonable prices
I love finding a place that I can eat and drink and not spend a fortune. I have found that at Blockheads! They have a drink that is soooo yummy: The Black Flower--Sangria swirled into frozen margarita--YUM! Drinks are reasonable priced. The food is good, with large portions, also reasonably priced. There is only a small indoor dining area, that gets filled quickly, but during nice weather there is also a large outdoor dining area. My last visit here, we decided to dine outside. We were just served our food, when the waitress came over to warn us that it was likely that there were going to be showers, and asked us if we wanted to close out our check. We decided not to, and take our chances. Well, we should have listened to our server--the rain started slowly, and finally began to pour. We had an umbrella, so we finished our meal and drinks. The entire time, our waitress continued to be helpful and courteous--from under her own umbrella. One warning, for the outdoor dining, smoking is allowed. So if you are sensitive to smoke, beware.

Brunch worthy of a Hangover
It's very hard to find a place that serves awesomely good food during brunch, has a nice atmosphere, and plays awesome music that usually conjures memories of the 90's... but this place does Food Quality- some of the best mexican food round town, and the specials that come along with unlimited mimosas are surprisingly good and filling.(the comfortable and can still breathe filling, and not the barely can move kind) Atmosphere- usually tends to be a young crowd(mid 20 something), and especially at this Blockheads considering it's proximity to Columbia U. Value & Service- the meals are good, and the many times I've been there, the service has always been friendly.(if enough people order an unlimited mimosa special, they leave a pitcher of mimosa at your table) It's bit of a walk, especially if you're recouping from a long night, but it's worth the extra blocks of walking to get to this hangover haven.
