I'm a transplant from southern California, and this is the best guacamole I've been able to find in New York. Both locations I'm familiar with (3rd/24th and 2nd/50th) get really busy at lunch time, but they try to seat you quickly and get your order, after which everything is pretty fast.

Love this place. My friends and I go every week for the delicious food and yummy cheap margaritas. Fun atmosphere, always a bit of a wait, but worth it.

Food and drinks are pretty cheap, especially considering the neighborhood. Service was lightning fast, but overall the food was not really that great. Don't go expecting authentic Mexican...think fast food with better ingredients and margaritas.

One reason many restaurants choose to promote drink specials is to ATTRACT PATRONS. It was a main attraction for my friends and me, however, we continue to return for the food, service and atmosphere. Blockheads is the BEST!

I live very close to this resturant and i can't afford much but it's great to know that you can get great food and marguritas for great prices and always pleasant staff.

There's a reason most people highlight the cheap specials, the drinks, and the free chips. The food is mediocre at best. This is Mexican food created by American MBAs. I'm sorry, but you don't eat burritos with a knife and fork! If you've ever had a burrito west of the Mississippi, then Blockheads is not recommended.
