Saddened
I have lived in the West Village for years and every time I walk by this restaurant, I am saddened to see all the people being tricked into thinking this could possibly be good pizza. I truly think there is a conspiracy about their so-called awards. The pizza here is of the lowest quality. The crust tastes like cardboard and the sauce is way sub-par. If anyone believes this is good pizza, I feel bad for you. Try going to Pepe's, Sally's, or Modern Pizza in New Haven to try real pizza. There are also tons of great places around the West Village area that makes a good pie. John's, Keste, and Arturo's to name a few. Avoid this place like the plague and don't be tricked by fake reviews and people not from here that don't know the first thing about pizza. More than angry, it makes me sad to think of the thousands of people that have been tricked into thinking this can pass for apizza.

Outstanding pizza !
One of my co-workers heard that Bleecker Street Pizza won the title of the best slice in NYC in a survey by radio station 92.3......so we had to walk over ! Now hardly a day goes by without a contingent from our office trekking there for lunch. My favorite slice is the Nonna Maria. This is thin crust pizza with thick & rich sauce and fresh Basil . We come back to it again and again! Another good choice is their Grandma slice. It's their spin on Sicilian ( thick squre crust). Stop by for lunch or whatever and you will see a happy crowd of pizza-loving customers....maybe I'll be one of them!

My best pizza place !
Bleecker Street Pizza has two kinds that are so good you almost need a 12-step program to stop eating them. The Nona Maria pizza - thin crust , thick sauce - is outstanding - almost magical . Their Grandma slice is their take on Sicilian - it has a thick crust and great cheese topped with home style marina sauce & fresh basil.

Why Bother?
As the previous reviewers state, the service is here is poor, and downright abusive, I see no reason to return after being treated so poorly for attemtping to patronize this rude establishment.

AWESOME pizza !
The slice this place calls the Nona Maria is awesome: it is a light & thin crust covered with a touch of chunky sauce , fresh mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It is truly a case of the sum is greater , MUCH greater than the parts ! All of their slices look to be worth a try but my friends are split between recommending the Grandma slice ( Bleecker Street Pizza own spin on Sicilian ) and the mushroom slice ( fresh mushrrooms -not canned ) If you like pizza you gotta go here.

Rude yeah, but who cares? The best pizza !
Are they rude? Well, let's say they dont seem to care about social ammenities. They dont have to! Best pizza ive ever had and ive had it everywhere..esp in brooklyn where i live..where even the most disappointing is never bad. But that nanno maria.. incomparable! No ambiance, I don't care if you eat here vibe, but its all irrelevant once you start eating.

Service without a smile
The pizza is very good, but the attitude is so bad that I'd rather support establishments that make pizza that does not taste as good but puts at least some effort into customer service.
