Exceptional food and service. Celebrated a wonderful birthday here on a visit to nyc.. Would definitely return every chance I have.

This is not a good place to come if there are only two people in your party. Friday night 7:00 most of the tables were empty (see attached picture); the hostess informed us that the only available table for a party of two was next to the kitchen and bathrooms. There was no way that any of the two two-top tables that were put together for parties of four could be separated. Really?

I was recommended to go to this place. I was very disappointed because shnitzel was cold and the saurkraut came way too late (after we finished the braatwurst). I do not recommend this place!

This is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to in New York and in a neighborhood I don't usually visit... it's definitely worth a visit all the way downtown for this fantastic dining experience. I was with a party of four and each of us had 1 entree and 1 appetizer and shared a few desserts... no one had a single complaint about any of the dishes. All of the fish dishes I tried were particularly good. The staff is friendly and will recommend some of the excellent beers and wines on their list (ask about them!) and the atmosphere is pleasant and cool with interesting art and film posters on the wall... you will enjoy this restaurant on a date or in a group setting. The menu is refreshingly creative and different from New York's usual.

Usually go here for lunch for that amazing 3course special,... But also Happy Hour, Birthdays or just because I'm in the mood for some consistent quality food. Blaue Gans never let me down on the food part. It appears that they are under new management and that arrogant dark hair gentleman seems to be gone... Nevertheless I enjoy my stays at the "Blue Goose" and will be return! Nice variety of Schnitzels, Sausages, Salads, and and and So far all of my dining friends found something tasty on the menu. The wine list and beers are fantastic, its hard to find good German wine in the stores, but so far I was never disappointed by the offers of this place.
