Great hidden gem!
This place is really worth the stop. It's off the beaten path of all the over Smith st bars etc.. and I was pleasantly suprised by the comfort and space offered, and even more by the wide selection of wines by the glass that were actually good! Too many recent "wine bars" especially in PK Slope offer "value" no name wines that are only decent b/c they are under 6-8 a glass. Personally while it's great to find that diamond in the rough I'll happily pay 9-11 for a spot-on Riesling or Lambrusco that a place like this offers. We tried a few nibbles, nothing mind blowing but certainly satisfactory such as our charcruterie plate, and I noticed Tues night is Fondue night, which could be worth a stop for its' own merit. The only real downer is depsite having en enclosed outside patio, you can't bring your drinks out there. Just a really solid place to start or end an evening depending on the mood..

fantastic!
I found my way here on an extremely cold night and was warmed by the fire and the low-key atmosphere. The fire makes the whole place smell slightly and charmingly of woodsmoke, while the wine and the food is excellent. They have a whole row of lovely cheeses that sit on the counter at room temperature and ready to be sliced. The waitstaff is friendly and nice and totally unpretentious. You should go.
