Great local place
Live in the neighborhood and always walked by this place but finally tried it. It was really good. My turkey burger was cooked perfectly and the sides were excellent.

Welcome to the Neighborhood
Just moved to the neighborhood a few weeks ago. All of the bad reviews about this place are wrong. Went the other night with 2 buddies looking for a casual beer and a burger and had an awesome time. The atmosphere was great, and the burgers were delicious. A little on the greasy side, but not overwhelmingly so. The fries were perfect and the wedge salad with bleu cheese dressing was a perfect warm up to the black and bleu burger. The only thing I would say it's missing is a TV for possible sunday football watching, but I'm just nitpicking. The service was great and attentive and it's safe to say that this is my new neighborhood spot.

Black Iron-Bad Attitude
Person on the phone didn't ask for my address. Delivery guy rolled his eyes and let out a long exhale when I gave him a three dollar tip. My onion rings were cold. There was no straw for milkshake and they forgot the ketchup and mayonnaise. Unprofessional. A bad experience. I hope they close down.

Delicious, Juicy Burger
It's very cold outside and I can appreciate that the fries and onion rings might be cool, but not actually cold (which makes them kind of gross). I also didn't get any ketchup, etc. I would recommend changing your delivery bags to something that insulates more. Other than that, the burger was exactly what I needed. It wasn't exactly what I wanted, but that's what you get with burgers: so many kinds of meat, meat grinds, preperation techniques, etc. So, a delicious 4.5 out of 5! It you don't feel like cooking order some burgers, turn on a movie and enjoy, Oh, great vanilla milkshakes!

what's up with the meat?
great interior and atmosphere, BUT the beef patty is a joke. i swear the cook grabbed a patty from a box like the ones you see prepped at the supermarket. are you kidding? if your gonna get everything else right (the bun, lettuce, tomato, onions were perfect) get the meat right dammit!

BFL
The Black Iron Burger Shop fails on many levels. First and foremost the name of the establishment is misleading as these burgers are NOT cooked on a black iron skillet but on a standard fryer. Now some people may like their burgers like that but not me! The next issue is the burger itself. WAY too salty! I watched the burger being prepared as they have an open kitchen and was astonished to see the amount of seasoning put on. No doubt this was an effort to mask an inferior product. The roll was stale also. I will say the burger was prepared correctly but cooking an over seasoned poor quality burger is of little consolation. We ordered a side of fries. They were also VERY salty as well as being overcooked. The waitress was good (she brought me the 3 glasses of water I needed to get through the meal) and the atmosphere was fine as well.
