Surprising Menu
My family & I went to Bistro Nora on a cold Sunday & it was already crowded. The vibe was cool with its warm red interior- couples, families with children, groups of grownups just hanging out. There is the weekend brunch menu AND lunch menu as well as kids brunch AND kids regular menu. Coming from a restaurant family, I thought maybe the numerous variety of dishes may lessen the quality but I was extremely & pleasantly surprised. Dishes have a unique spin on flavor with a very subtle Asian flare on a few items. We had fish tacos (perfectly done & tender), sesame chicken bites, pasta, exquisitely done eggs (not soggy nor dry) and fries (really really good coming from an FF addict. Not quite Belgian frite type, not quite typical American type. BN's is crunchy, light, NOT greasy!). I also tried the Duck Fat Potatoes which may sound rich & overwhelming but the unique blend of duck flavor & herbs with just the right crunch & salt were a hit. It was not oily or heavy and I tried it out of curiosity expecting a hit or miss. It was a hit. My children loved the food & fun puzzles that come with both the kids' brunch & regular menu. Even their dishes came with a spin on it like the sesame chicken bites that were enjoyed by adults too. They were not your usual salty & soggy with grease salty chicken nuggets (because kids' menus are usually a side/foot note to please parents at many places we've been). Even the Zack's mac & cheese isn't orange elbows but a few gourmand steps up with a blend of interesting cheeses that adults would enjoy as well as children. I think along the lines of BN's moderate version of Waverly's truffle mac & cheese. Prices are very moderate while quality is high. Service was extremlely attentive & not rushed but warm & welcoming. For brunchers, even the egg dishes are not the usual fare but each have a spin on it as do the pancakes (lemon ricotta not plain batter). For lunch, you won't be disappointed but leave happily satisfied. It's a cool vibe and I'll have to go for an evening out to see what it's like for dinner & I'm looking forward to it!

Nice addition to the neighborhood
I have been to Bistro Nora three times and each time I have been very pleased. The stuffed pork chop is huge and very tasty and the free range chicken stir fry is extremely flavorful and of high quality. The wait staff is very accomodating and kid friendly. My daughter loves the chicken tenders which comes with apples instead of fries.
