great
I'm from LA but i was born in Bologna everytime i m in Ny for work I stop by Bistro Milano. The food is really amazing specially the Tortelloni Bistro Milano w saffron wow exellent and the staff is getting better and better my waiter Is always a nice guy great personality and good sales person he make me try a glass of vermentino (and i dont like white wine)with my seabass and was the perfect combination. I wish LA had a rest like Bistro Milano

excellent service
been there few times already, every time, we had a great service, and good food. it's great to bring your friends from outside NY to have once a good service in this city. My favorite dish there is risotto. Tastes so good!

Lunch was devine!
Bistro Milano provided a 4 course price fixed lunch on 3/28/09 which was more than generous. The mushroom soup was dreamy and smoothe. The veal filled ravioli were tender and tasty. The salmon was prepared as ordered-grilled medium. Dessert was amazing: homemade tiramisu and panna cotta!

Had problem
Great small appetizers Nice wine selection But most important, waitress tried to pass off bad salmon (frozen taste) under creme sauce for special Sea Bass dish that was ordered! Did not tell us until I called her over to take the dish away and she then said, "Oh, we ran out of sea bass, would you like something else?" Imagine a restaurant of this level trying to pass this off without any apology! I don't know about you, but deceitful service can never work in my book. Be alert!
