What a huge disappointment! Sitting at a table for dinner - with an interesting and creative menu of $18 apps and $38 entrees - and having to deal with rude, loud and extremely inconsiderate beer drinkers surrounding the bar and all the dinner tables. Our waiter was totally MIA. Spoke directly to the manager, as did many other diners, but he was too busy to even care. My advice is to pass on Bistro Milano

Overall, not a great experience. I booked a reservation for 6 people, only to find a table set for 5. The table itself was only fit for 4 and when I explained the reservation was made for 6, they squeezed another place setting in - again, in a table fit for 4. After insisting they accomodate 6 people, we were met with great push back from the staff. If I am going to an expensive restaurant with my family for a holiday dinner and am going to spend at least $1,000 dollars, I expect a whole lot more than what this experience was. Very disappointing

ordered two dewars on the rocks; they arrived - saw they were not dewar's - bar girl admitted they were out of dewars and substituted - cant do that with a scotch drinker - food was fair....not even good. As we were leaving bar girl stared at us - not in NYC!!! We are not tourists - will never go back

It was our first time in NYC and I have to say that the service in most restaurant is below the European service level. They're only focused on speed but not on the costumer. In this restaurant you get the best service, good quality food and a nice atmosphere. Staff is very friendly. We're going for the 2nd time tonight.

My wife and I enjoyed a great dinner and service at Bistro Milano. The meatballls with mashed potatoes appetizer was delicious. The veal ravioli was excellent but just a tad salty. Still has a great time. House wines were also very good.

The food and wine were superb! My waiter ignored me most of the time however. The busperson and another waiter ended up taking over my table in the end and they were much nicer to me. I actually saw my waiter go from table to table asking how everything was and then proceeded to skip mine everytime.

I ate here with relatives from out of town this weekend and it was selected based on proximity to their hotel. The appetizers which included salads and a pizza bianco with truffle oil were good. The entrees were not. I ordered the special osso buco with risotto. The risotto looked like it had velveeta in it and tasted no better than it looked. The osso buco was unlike any osso buco that I have ever eaten. It was tough beyond belief and did not taste at all like osso buco. It required a knife to remove it from the bone when it should just fall apart. The deep brown sauce covering it could not disguise the poor preparation and quality of ingredients. Another diner had a zuppa di pesce with pasta. His fish was fishy. A huge disappointment and possibly the worst meal I have ever partaken in at any time anywhere.
