Lovely meal
I have had salads, the beef cigars and the lamb, pork chops and steak and they have all been delicious. The flavoring is delicious. They are having a nice two course special for $19.99. Its a great date place... dark and romantic :) The wine is delicious as well. I really have enjoyed my experienced here.

Consistently excellent
I have lived in Inwood for more than a decade and this is without a doubt my favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting. Its staff members are lovely, including the owners--the gifted chef, Karim, and his gracious wife, who acts as hostess. And the food is consistently excellent. I am a single woman who never goes to bars. But I always eat at the glowing copper bar in MB--it is an essential part of the experience. Only wine and beer are served, and eating at the bar is quite popular with patrons-- it is something of a community affair some evenings. The menu changes often, but of the entrees that seem generally available, I would give six stars--if I could--to the spicy fish tagine (a mere whiff of this dish being served at neighboring table is enough to settle your order). Also earning highest marks are the fifteenth century couscous, the salmon, the pork chops, and when they have them, the shish kebabs especially the lamb. The lamb shank and couscous is a very popular dish--it is simply too much food for me, so I rarely order it. The chef likes to experiment, and creative new offerings appear with some frequency. I must mention a dish of smoky andouille sausage and mussels over whole wheat pasta that was a knock-out that I continue to crave. Sadly it is no longer on the menu. The restaurent offers a variety of specials. Of more frequently offered specials, I would give ten stars to my favorite dish of all time anywhere--the rack of lamb. On occasion hamburgers and fries have been offered--and it is one of my favorite burgers of all time. Ditto the fries, which are quite special. Other ground beef specialities, when I have had a chance to sample them, have also been great, including the beef cigars featured on the appetizer menu and moroccan meatballs, which are sometimes available. Two wraps currently are offered--merguez and falafel. I have not had the wraps, but the merguez (lamb sausage) is splendidly spicy and the house falafel splendidly flavorful and moist. The house salad is simple and divine, including shaved fennel and a sherry dressing. The wine selection, right down to the house wine, is discriminating.

This restaurant is a treat
The chef and his wife are warm and welcoming people who serve high quality food and a high quality dining experience. The lamb shank is something I wish I could make at home, and the 15th Century Couscous is an unimaginable treat. Become a regular and you will feel like a a preferred customer. This restaurant is a quality of life boost to Inwood. Enjoy!

Excellent fare and service!
We discovered this place years ago and are happy to say that every single meal there has been simply stunning. The beef cigars are heaven, and the entrees are delicious and unique. The service is always polite-I never once had to ask that my water glass be refilled. A cozy spot for a date but also accommodates families, this restaurant is a gem in Inwood.

Who needs midtown!
There is nothing better than being on the subway headed home after a long day at work knowing that excellent food is available in my own neighborhood. Whether craving a steak or the best fish tagine this side of Morocco (ask for it extra spicy, if you like), you can't miss here. The bar is a great place to relax and have a glass of wine. And, I'm not sure what restaurant some of the others who have posted here have been to, as the service for me has always been friendly and right on the money.

Not nearly as good as I'd hoped.
As a new Inwood resident, I've looked forward to trying all the popular restaurants in the area. Top among them was Park Terrace Bistro, and not only because I love Moroccan food. This place comes with a reputation for being one of the best fine dining experiences in the area. Sadly, though, I have to report that it fell far below my expectations. The good points: warm atmosphere and a fine menu. The bad points: overpriced small portions of mixed quality, poor service. I ordered the vegetarian couscous entree, which came in what looked like an appetizer portion but was priced nearly double what I've frequently paid for larger and much tastier portions at several downtown Moroccan eateries. After dinner, I found myself wishing that both my stomach and wallet were twice as full.

Warning: Violent owner/cook, complain on
As much as I have in the past enjoyed the occasional (albeit very pricey) meal at Park Terrace Bistro, I must warn you that if your burger isn't as you requested (ie, well done in my case) YOU might get yelled at by the OWNER and yes even thrown out of the restaurant. When my "well done" burger came out bleeding onto the plate, I had the audacity to request that it be cooked a bit more and in retaliation for my outlandish request, my burger came back with partially cooked bacon and a burned bun. I did however appreciate that he had wiped the blood from my plate. As I asked the waiter to speak with the manager to address these issues, the cook gestured me to the kitchen. When I didn't get up from the table, the cook (owner) then flew out of the kitchen ranting about not having time to make my dinner "twice" saying that is how "he would make it for his mother". Stunned, I tried again to simply request that he correct the problems and he got in my face and responded with, "Shut up and get out of my restaurant or I'll call 911." Confused by his actions, my friend and I looked around at a restaurant full of other confused and shocked faces. I must stress that we remained calm and the OWNER was the one screaming and creating a scene! How a simple matter of an undercooked burger could escalate to a situation bordering on violent is confusing to say the least. I thought it only fair to warn people that these issues stem directly from the owner and that they should patronize the restaurant at their own risk.
