Easily one of the best restaurants in the city--and with its modest price tag, it works just as well for the casual weeknight dinner as for any Saturday celebration. Citron succeeds in offering simple French fare in a way that few other restaurants in the city do. I've had their mouilles frites, braised lamb shank, duck, and eggs meurette, and they're all wonderful. Even their chicken breast is fantastic--and I'm almost never impressed with chicken in restaurants. Atmosphere is perfect; it's other-worldly and continental without being overbearing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I wanted to go to this place with a couple of friends as I had read good reviews. However we did not have dinner there as the host was not very friendly. We were not the only ones that left as also 3 people that arrived after us who were waiting for a 4 person, also left as they could not sit down as they had to wait for their friend. You can agree or not with this policy about having to wait for the full party, but there are many ways to say it. As the host said "you are not customers otherwise you would have known our policy here". He was right we were not customers nor I think we will ever be. And of course we will make sure that we make a comment about this place with our friends...

Great place, we're regulars now (once a week typically). Great value; starting with the free bread w/ pate & butter to the deserts. Try the chicken for two!

My wife and I have been here three times, and it's become our favorite neighborhood place. The food is great, with nice sized portions. The service and atmosphere is spot on. Very friendly and informed servers, but not over bearing. It blew Jean-Luc away (this may explain why Jean-Luc has been "Closed For the Summer" for the past 6 months).

.. a French Bistro that lives up to its name. See, I'm French, so when it come to French food & places, I'm picky. About the atmosphere, the food, the service, the spelling in the menus and the flavor. This place has it all for a very good value. Service à la Française. ?The food is tasty and delicious, yet it's very bistro, so basic French food (not the intricate combinations you get say at Daniel or Alain Ducasse). And little bonus, a well-known actor was eating there too that night. :o)

The food was terrific and the service was equally wonderful. The braised leek appetizer was perfect and the potato crusted chicken was tender, flavorful and plump. The wine was great, too! Very friendly...great neighborhood find.
