    Not so good anymore...

Really disappointed in the food tonight. Carrot soup tasted like water, sardines were old, bill was added up wrong. Really no excuse for all of this. I have loved this place but something's gone wrong. They need to pay attention. I can't see going back. It's not cheap and one should be able to count on the simplest of things...

    flex your mussels

this cute french bistro is my new Tuesday night hot spot for all you can eat mussels. The food is the best and the price is very very reasonable .A+ must go.

    UES discovery!

Being an Upper West Sider, I rarely venture east for the food. But a friend took to Bistro 61 yesterday, and I was totally impressed. The service was lovely, the place was warm and welcoming even on a very dreary day, and the generous portions of food were absolutely delicious. I had the merguez sandwich, which was brightened by preserved lemon and served with thin herb-sprinkled fries and a nice salad. I would go back anytime. High recommendations.

    Tuesday Mussels Galore!

I am a lover and connoisseur of mussels, and I loved the all-you-can-eat mussel night at Bistro61. The saffron and leek sauce was gorgeous, and the bouillabaisse was heaven for bread-dipping. Frites were perfect! My husband loved his steak frites with green peppercorn sauce, it was tender and delicious. The only problem is that I filled up on bread and frites and couldn't eat another pot full of mussels! We would highly recommend!

    my own french restaurant

Since I was schooled in France, going to Bistro 61 is like being back in Paris. Food is excellent, ambiance awesome, to me it feels like home. Great service, friendly people. The place to be.

    Outstanding!

I ate at Bistro 61 last night with a friend of mine for the first time and I must say it was a wonderful experience. The service was great and the food was excellent. We had a rack of lamb and a steak as our mains. Though the former outshone the latter, hands down, both were well done. Our waiter, who introduced himself by name, was attentively charming despite the large crowd, the place was packed! We will definitely be back.
