    Terrific dinner

I thought that the food quality was excellent. We came in after the theatre and were pleasantly surprised by the dinner the four of us had.Their service could be a little more patron friendly but it was unobtrusive and timely.I would recommend this restaurant to anyone viewing this review.

    Just fine

The atmosphere is nice and the service was friendly and attentive, with both the waiter and the maitre d' making themselves readily available. The calamari fritti appetizer was fresh and tender with a nice crispy coating. The filet mignon was fine. Not the best steak I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. Perhaps a little over-priced for a cut of meat that didn't knock my socks off, but it was tender and flavorful enough. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but if I was with a group who chose this restaurant I wouldn't try to talk them out it either. It was fine, just not great.

    Never go back

The waiter took the drink order of only two people at our table of four and left to fill the order, leaving the rest of us to wonder what happened. When we got the maitre d' to continue the order, the waiter came back, annoyed with us, claiming that he would have taken the rest of the orders later...well, apparently not! because then we waited a good twenty minutes to give our food order, all the while checking our watches for we had theatre tickets. However, once we gave our order, the food appeared in no time...which makes one wonder about the freshness of the food. The food was decent, no big "ah" and the Price Fixed is a good deal...but I would never go back!

    Late night Tuesday

Waiter Stan was busy when I was seated so I was beginning to fear the worst. However, he was very accomodating and even had a lobster brought out for me to check out. I opted to start with the Lobster Bisque which was served in a bowl with the lobster and potato's and the bisque was poured at the table. Nice presentation and I would highly recommend at $9. For dinner I had the goat cheese and beet salad ($12). Nice tasty salad but a bit over priced. The Big Eye Tuna was cooked very rare which I really prefer with fresh fish. The vegetables were over cooked and the soy sauce based dish was not very good. There were a few grains of sauce soaked basmati (hint - ask to have the sauce on the side). BUT the tuna was so good I hated to cut it with a butter knife. I would have killed for one of my good knives. I asked for a side of wasabi and d my own sasmi dish. I probably got more fish for the money that way anyway which was a bonus. Also the flatbread served in the basket is fantastic. Definitely give it a shot.

    Great Value on Restaurant Row

Been there twice in the past 6 weeks for a pre theater dinner. I've had the veal and the tenderloin, both outstanding. The Caprese salad is also excellent. The pre theater pricing is reasonable and you get enough to satisfy a good appetite.

    V-day dinner...Perfection!

very romantic. exquisite steak! hostess is kinda dry and sarcastic but if you can ignore her you'll be fine. we ate, drank, talked...the whole experience took about 3 hours and even on such a busy night, no one rushed us out the door. love this place. probably the best on restaurant row.

    Best steak I've ever had

We just happened to choose this restaurant among the many on the street and we were so glad. Their house specialty steak is the best we've ever had. The only negative is that it is close quarters, but that applies to almost every restaurant in New York. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a truly great steak. We will definitely return!
