    Very Disappointed

When I called the person on the phone said we (16ppl) would have the tables on the back wall...we ended up in the middle. The service was mediocre and the food was the same . I had a pasta dish that was so al-dente I could have broke my dente(tooth). Leave this place to the celiacs they cater to.

    Great gluten free pasta

I'm so glad i stumbled over this place, very cosy and nice. I had the fresh ravioli with spinach, and it was absolutely wonderful.

    Great northern Italian food

We were welcomed by the host and enjoyed the evening and meal. We were not rushed at all. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The seafood and pasta was great. Good wine selection. Overall it was a great experience and plan to visit again when we are in the city.

    Great spicy red sauce

My favorite spaghetti, meatball and sausage (spicy marinara to die for). The pasta with eggplant is great and so is the shrimp dish. It's hard to find a good italian restaurant in the city...this place is one of my favorites along with Barbone in EV. Great find in MH. Will definitely be comming back.

    Delicious ragu and bread

Great service and they have a couple of star entrees. Especially enjoyed the gluten free penne with ragu. Meat was pulled beef I believe and it was tender without being greasy. The gluten free bread was great as was the garlic infused dipping oil. Atmosphere is so-so but very parent-friendly ie not loud.

    Happiest Celiacs in New York!!

Out of the four people in our family, two have Celiac Disease and must eat a gluten free diet. Much to our delight, Bistango was able to please EVERYONE in my family! We ALL loved our meal!!! We are from Jersey, but will make the trip again to eat out at Bistango!! Thank you!

The lost art of running a good restaurant

Every once in a while, you stumble on a place where, for lack of a better explanation, they just get it. Such is the case with Bistango. As a baseline, the food is consistently solid, time after time. Of course, above excellent food, it is the service that really makes this place stand out. The staff -- from waiters and waitresses to the bus crew -- are all very competent, knowledgeable and uniformly pleasant. The owner, Anthony, personally makes sure that the experience is to your liking from the time you walk in the door until you once again hit the street, no matter how packed the place may be (and it usually is). In all, they really get it at Bistango: deliver the customer good food consistently while making them feel welcome, and they will keep coming back. And I do.
