I just had dinner here, and the food was excellent. The portions are generous without the food being "heavy". I had the insalata complicata and the Rigatoni Napoliteano which were both delicious. My friend had planned to take home half of her meal to eat the next day but ended up eating it all because it was so good. The restaurant has an elegant atmosphere and the owner and waitstaff are extremely welcoming.

On a recent Sat night, I tried Bistango with girlfriend and family for the first time. The manager went out of his way to greet and seat us and he personally offered suggestions for wine and food. The portions are big, the prices are very reasonable, the service is pleasant and the atmosphere is relaxed. Definitely will return.

The food is very 'imitation italian american' like something you'd eat at a pizzeria in kansas. The service is alright. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

This place is one of the best keep secrets of Murray Hill. The owner of this cute Italian restaurant is so incredibly nice to all of his customers and he makes you want to come back again and again. The food is delicious - always fresh and staff will accomodate to your preferences. It is certainly one of my favorite Italian restaurants in NYC and the prices are so reasonable.

Bistango is one of those less-popular secrets. That's how I would describe it. Great food, great service, great atmosphere, great value. It is a very home-like feeling. What more could you want?? My only complaint was that the waiter seemed a little less-informed about wines, which isn't such a big deal. Great for dates, great do cozing-up, great for families, or even solo. A+
