    Praise from a devoted regular

I love everything about this place (with the exception of the second floor ladies room). The owner is a charming hostess, the waiters are wonderful, and the bartenders (especially Tom) are like friends. It's no wonder that Bill's has a faithful group of followers who would rather go there than any of the numerous other options in the neighborhood.

    won't go back

The place was lively. I didn't eat so I really can't rate the food. The barkeep was rude - what is his problem I don't know. Only one bartender so you could not move over to be waited on by someone else. I think the main attraction is cheap booze but believe me it is not worth being subjected to the help.

    Still the best

It's been two years since I ate at Bill's, was there on 06.12.09, the food is still outstanding, had the free range chicken with mash potatoes, green beans with garlic, and for something sweet had the apple pear tart, unfortunately they ran out of the vanilla ice cream. The crowd, drinks and piano player were great. Nice evening out on the town.

Cosy, charming, fun and fab food

Stumbled across Bill's by chance when in NYC with my sister on a girls shopping weekend. Had a fab evening with the piano playing and the food was superb, and so was the service. Has the friendly atmosphere of Cheers but with more class. Would definitely go there again or recommend.

    great for working lunches!

My colleagues and I came here to discuss some work matters over lunch. The service was fast (it was about 1:30pm by the time we got there - so maybe the lunch crowd was gone). There is an extensive menu - but I think there were only 3-4 vegetarian options available. Otherwise, it was a little bit of everything - burgers, salads, soups. I ordered the pasta, my colleauge ordered the burger, and another ordered some chicken sausage thing. We also had gazpacho soup - delicious! Dessert was the BEST part! Everything is made on site, and it sure does taste like it too. Probably the best Key Lime Pie I have had in a long time! I'm not sure I would come here for a dinner out with friends, but it sure is a great spot nice enough for a business lunch, but also quick enough that you can get back to work within an hour or so.

    Consistently Good

We always hit Bill's at least once whenever we're in the city, that's three or four times a year. The food has always been good, the service great and the atmosphere fun. The free range chicken, tuna, and steak did not disappoint us at all this time around. The pear and apple strudel was amazing. The piano player was good and the other people that were singing along with him made the evening very enjoyable. Also the bartender made the perfect sidecar.

    All around great time

Charming atmoshphere, great food, great drinks, reasonable prices. It just doesnt get much better than this. I have tried most dishes on the menu by now and have enjoyed all of them so far. Prices are very resonable especially considering its midtown location and the quality of food and drink. As far as overall experience is concerned it is one of the top spots in the city.
