    Awesome for intimate dinners

Let me start with a decor. Bigoli is not huge per se but they have 5 cozy section:The bar area and intimate front area and two sections in the back as well as a lovely patio. The res taunt is great for hosting a large party or an intimate dinner for two. The music is not overwhelmingly loud as in a lot of places in the city. The menu is quintessential Italian. Our server has been more than helpful. He also suggested a beverage to go with each dish. The mozzarella appetizer was amazing and melted in our mouths. I'd also recommend mussels al vino and the meatballs (my all time favorite). The manager stops by every table for a quick chat. All in all the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I'm definitely coming back for my anniversary.

New chef. New menu. New concept.

I dine there a lot and i find out on Tuesday that Stratta is no longer at Bigoli. The changed the menu and concept of it. now you can have wood oven pizza as well as small dishes as apps and they making their own burrata fresh every day. I used to like coming here but now i like it even more since is more Classic Italian and also more affordable. Love it!

    Return Visit

After posting "Nice bar but diner food" we were compelled to give them a 2nd chance. The place was lively and inviting although the design and decor remain a challenge. More importantly, the service was fine, the kitchen stepped up and we had a very good meal.

Not sure what this restaurant is

There are many similar italian restaurant around town that are better looking, more fun, much better food and cheaper so not sure where this place fits in. The room is very formal and quite cold like a place at 3 star hotel would be but it is in the middle of the village which tends to have much better looking places. I would say pass and go to any of the other better places within a few blocks

    Nice bar but diner food

Sad to say...not a good meal. Earnest staff but cold space literally and figuratively. The pasta was tasteless, as was the veal cutlet, which was dry & semi-tough inside and should be served with a paper towel to absorb the oil outside. Return in 6 months? Probably not.

    What happened?

Went with great expectations week after it opened. Food was good to very good, but one pasta was served lukewarm. Service was excellent and stylish. Room was almost totally empty which made the evening seem strange and uncomfortable. The chef was no where in evidence. Will it get its act together and survive? Hope so from pre-publicity. But somebody has to get this place organized, and hopefully it will be the chef/owner.
