Cool place in NYC
I have been at Big N for three times. 1997, 2000 and 2010. I like the good food, cold beer, great value and best location at Upper West!

Best burgers in NYC
I have eaten here quite a bit over the years - and just ordered delivery again last night from there. I had the Madrid Burger with extra Tzatiki, and OMG it was awesome! Also love the Bistro burger (insanely great) and the Teriyaki burger with an added grilled pineapple ring. Sometimes they even throw in free baklava!

Great delivery!
This is my favorite place to order from on the UWS! Super quick delivery, hot delicious comfort food, and reasonable prices. I love their pizza, and their chocolate shakes are amazing (no one uses enough chocolate in NYC). Also love the meatball and sausage sub. It's not in my neighborhood, but I suspect I will drag friends up there soon.

My Favorite- Oreia!
I love this place. I've only ever gotten take-out, but every time they've gotten my order right and it's been amazingly delicious. Their kofte is wonderful with just the right amount of mint. I love that they're such a joint, but they have amenities like flax-seed lavash and a whole vegetarian menu. Their veggie meatball parm, which sounds suspect, is amazing: fried veggie 'balls that are made out of fresh ground up vegetables including something that looked like edamame, falafel-style but seasoned perfectly to go with the mozz and tomato sauce. I love the food, attitude and style of this place. Once I went here for two meals in one day, in the course of an 8-mile schlep from my home in Harlem and back. I hope Big Nick's sticks around forever. Yammas!

Not recommended
My first and last time ordering from Big Nick's. My Monte Christo "sandwich" was literally just an order of french toast - soggy, completely undercooked french toast - with low quality meat and cheese thrown on top of it. When they say "garnished with waffle fries" they're not kidding - there were three fries. I didn't expect much at 5 AM but I expected better than this. If you're looking for crappy greasy food, save yourself a few bucks and just go somewhere else.

poor delivery
the delivery took over an hour to get 7 blocks, when it did it was cold, and barely there. The container for the chicken fingers was full of air, a few lonely fries and 5 measly fingers, overwhelmingly overpriced for a lovely 12 dollars and change after tax.

Lost my order
I know it can happen to anyone, but still, it's disappointing when it does. I waited an hour for an order that never came, and was told I must not have placed it. That's just crazy and not the proper way to handle these situations. In general, the food here is decent and comforting. It's not transcendent, but they have a decent amount of veggie options at affordable prices. Except for this major snafu which has left me very hungry and more than a little upset, and which probably means I won't order for delivery from them for a good long time, I'm generally satisfied with Big Nick's.
