Big Nicks Is Going Down Hill
Big Nick's used to be my diner of choice. Now however, it is usually a last resort that I turn to when nothing else is open. A large pizza delivered without tip will cost you in the range of 25 bucks and will often arrive late and cold. It is really a shame that they have let themselves go, they were once a staple of the neighborhood.

Great food, Great Price, Bad service
The Food is great and everything I have tried on their extensive menu has been superb. The Prices are cheap and the value is amazing. The services blows though

Flavor...Flava...Flava
The Sumo burger is the best. It is huge and maybe worth splitting with someone. I was able to finish this 1lb monster, as was my friend. It has great taste, was cooked to my specifications, and was quickly brought out. The buns, on this 1lb monstrocity held up to the very end. It was well made. Anyways, the service was good. It is a small place, so as many said, don't expect to linger or to be too comfortable unless you hit the place at a good time. Cleanliness is decent. The silverware and cups could have been a little cleaner, but I know they at least had been sanitized. The rest of the restaurant was pretty clean for a small, old, popular place. All in all, if you want a cool place to go, with good tasting burgers, then make this a stop. Maybe not so much a tourist place unless you are the type of tourist who likes authentic, down to earth places. Prices were decent. Expect to pay a little. But hey, its NYC. I recently left NYC, but plan on revisiting frequently, and my next visit will include Big Nicks.

Disappointing Sangria and Nachos
I really should have had a burger and a beer, because they are perfect here, but we stopped by for nachos and a sangria...they were watery and like done in two sips, there was more ice than anything. ok so it was $4.95, but the nachos were disappointing, I can get better ones at the movies! Stick to the burgers and beer at this place!

Good food, Inexpensive, Good Service, and Great Atmosphere!
This place is probably one of my favorite places to eat of all time in NYC. It's inexpensive ($10 for the biggest burger they have - over 1lb of meat), service is very fast and friendly, their menu is HUGE, the food is delicious (have had people with me order burgers, salmon, monte cristo, etc), and although quite small and cramped, you won't have to deal with a room full of chattering tourists! I cannot recommend this place enough. They even have a more upscale restaurant next door that has Greek/Mediterranean food (same owner). Go to this one at 77th and broadway!

Not that great
So some said it was a great place with a great atmosphere and good food. While there was a huge selection, I felt like I was being nickel and dimed on everything. Additionally, the cups they gave us were like 5 oz so 2 sips later I was out. Combine this with bad service and the water was basically non-existent. Additionally, the waffle fries that were $3.45 were so not worth it. The yellow mustard that we requested was spicy (as it is a sin to have anything but spicy in NYC it appears) and the pickles were salty? Why salty? It just wasn't a great experience. We had 2 burgers and fries, 2 waters and some mozzarella sticks (those were good) but it totalled to over 30 with no fancy side items. It was bad service and over-priced for the quality.
