I think many/most of the reviews below may actually be for the other Big Nick's location, on 77th and Broadway -- which, for some reason, has barely any reviews. It is, however, the bigger, kind of Home Big Nick's Restaurant. In fact, this one, on 71st, is called Big Nick's Too. It's more pizza-oriented, whereas the other in a full scale diner with eeeeeevvverything. Not to disparage the Big Nick's Too, but I find the one on 77th to have better food. The menu is much more extensive there, and everything is a little fresher and more interesting. I can tell from details of the other reviews here (mentions of specials listed on the walls, all the allusions to burgers) that people are probably talking about their experiences at 77th street. Just wanted to let people know. Both locations are great, but if you want the full Big Nick's experience, I'd head a few blocks further uptown.

This place rocks! Their massive grilled chicken avocado ceasar salad was delicious and burgers are awesome! The service was above and beyond! The prices were very reasonable for the large portions! The place had a cute rustic ambiance and was perect after a neigborhood stroll. You've got to try this place!

I can always count on Big Nick's to satisfy my craving for great food in a casual setting for a reasonable price. Not only do Big Nick burgers set my taste buds bubbling with delight, but I find the atmosphere at Big Nick's to be one of the most welcoming in the neighborhood. The place is full of the smell and sounds of food, making it all the more attractive to any hungry customer.

Looking for a great burger? Look no further than Big Nick's. Not only are the burgers great, but the atmosphere and the walk-in restraunt type is incredible. I don't know how you do it Nick but keep up the good work. Thanks for everything!

First time in Manhattan for us. Two frenchie's... First breakfast was at Big Nick's! We were lucky. A week long we had breakfast here, some lunchs and a diner or two ! It was close to our hotel but we could have walk a mile for it..

We had a hard time choosing from the selections on Big Nick's large menu and the 'specials' posted around the room. The inside dining area was small but it shielded us from the smokers dining at the outside tables. The burgers and fries were enormous and the Kofta was unusual and tasty. Prices were low compared to other places and there was good value for money. This is a fun kind of eatery and the location was just around the corner from our hotel. Another Nicks was down the road with more formal dining and Mediterranean cuisine with prices to match. Great lamb!

This is the best place to get great tasting pizza with a crispy crust. Slices are large, so you couldn't get a better bargain. Servers are friendly, and even though it gets crowded with such a small dining area, they're always patient. You just have to try it to know how great Big Nick's pizza really is...
