Good food ... all day, all night
Extensive menu . . . delivers all day/night . . . great burgers! What more could you ask for? The only drawback is that the "atmosphere" is not all that, plus I do not recommend going to the bathroom (you have to be very skinny and agile to fit down the stairs to the bathroom). Just get it delivered!

What do you expect from a pizza joint?
Big Nick's is a place to get food. It's not a place to have an experience. It's greasy and messy, but hot and fresh. Fries, burgers, and pizza are the name of the game. Don't order any cakes or desserts except for the milk shakes--they are made with straight-up ice cream--no syrups! In General: If you want great food just be smart and don't order fancy salads or dishes at a place that specializes in burgers and pizza!

Good food, good deal, great price.
Big Nicks is not the the snazziest place to take you're lady but she'll forget all about the atmospere when the food comes out. I've eaten here a few times and was never unhappy. But it's a hectic scene, so you've been warned also try not to sit anywhere near the door! The Sumo burger is not only huge but pretty good, not to mention the buffulo burger! Go for it, I mean you can't go wrong with these prices, its a real steal.

I don't konw why I keep going back
I really don't know why I keep ordering from this restaurant. The Big Nicks on 77th is terrific, but the food from this location is consistently dissapointing. The service isnt good either. Tonight we ordered a pizza and some mozzarella sticks at 6:45. It didn't arrive until 8:15, even though we're just five blocks away. They wrapped the pizza box in a paper bag. Not a good tactic; predictably it made the pizza soggy. Ditto about the mozzarella sticks. Next time I'll walk to the restaurant on 77th .

Just wanted to point out...
I think many/most of the reviews below may actually be for the other Big Nick's location, on 77th and Broadway -- which, for some reason, has barely any reviews. It is, however, the bigger, kind of Home Big Nick's Restaurant. In fact, this one, on 71st, is called Big Nick's Too. It's more pizza-oriented, whereas the other in a full scale diner with eeeeeevvverything. Not to disparage the Big Nick's Too, but I find the one on 77th to have better food. The menu is much more extensive there, and everything is a little fresher and more interesting. I can tell from details of the other reviews here (mentions of specials listed on the walls, all the allusions to burgers) that people are probably talking about their experiences at 77th street. Just wanted to let people know. Both locations are great, but if you want the full Big Nick's experience, I'd head a few blocks further uptown.

Fantastic!
This place rocks! Their massive grilled chicken avocado ceasar salad was delicious and burgers are awesome! The service was above and beyond! The prices were very reasonable for the large portions! The place had a cute rustic ambiance and was perect after a neigborhood stroll. You've got to try this place!

Ideal neighborhood spot
I can always count on Big Nick's to satisfy my craving for great food in a casual setting for a reasonable price. Not only do Big Nick burgers set my taste buds bubbling with delight, but I find the atmosphere at Big Nick's to be one of the most welcoming in the neighborhood. The place is full of the smell and sounds of food, making it all the more attractive to any hungry customer.
