We've ordered from Big Nick's many times for pizza, burgers, sandwiches, etc. Always a disappointment.

Went to Big Nicks for dinner last night. Shared a greek salad, which was iceberg lettuce, chunks of feta, and some rotten peppers. My husband had the chicken parm, which he liked, although the spaghetti was below average. I had the bacon cheeseburger, which was a little dry, average at best. The place seemed unclean and was a little cramped. The menu is huge, but the experience was mostly disappointing.

Having read all of the glowingly positive reviews here, I was excited to try Big Nick's. I was sorely disappointed. The pizza is above average, perhaps the best that I've had since moving to this part of the UWS. But it should never be part of the same conversation as Grimaldi's, or even some of the better pizza places up near Columbia (Giovanni's in particular). The cornmeal crust was good, and the toppings and cheese were above average. I will definitely order from BN again, but will still make the treck down to Brooklyn when I want a really great pie.

All the food is great here (especially slices), but I have to say the calzone is the best i've ever had. packed w/ whatever you want. I also dig the dollar beers for happy hour. Me and my boy big head put a hurtin on that keg w/ great frequency.

Solid late night food. Meatballs, Chicken Parm, Sluvaki, Steak Fries are awesome. Garlic Bread, Creamy Italian Dressing... Good stuff here.

I have ordered from here many times, and mostly with fairly good results. Nothing great, but decent for the price, and late night/early morning convenience. But the last time I ordered, it took almost 2 hours, the food arrived cold, and half of the order was missing. When I called to ask about it I was told "we're busy", and the man hung up the phone on me. Customers understand when places are busy, but let people know 'we have a lot of orders, and this will take longer than usual for delivery', then you know what you're in for as a customer, and the business doesn't have to deal with angry people. Yes you may do less in sales that day, but you'll do more in sales in the future because you won't lose clients due to late and mismanaged orders.

The food and service are spotty. On a really good day and with the right dish you'll get, say, a nice crispy phyllo crust pot pie, delivered in 45 minutes. But most days, you'll get a gray, sodden mass of cold food item with soggy, cold fries, mashed potatoes with chunks of dried potato flakes from a box, delivered two hours after you ordered. I wish there were more places open late in the area so I'd never have to order from here again.
