    unappetizing

I have ordered from Big Nick's before, and gone there for pizza, and in the past have found the food to be mediocre, but not completely offensive. Except tonight i had the most miserable experience. I ordered a vegetarian lasagna and a coke from them for dinner. I was told it would take half an hour to arrive, and it did. The total for these two items was about 12 dollars. I opened my food to find a lasagna that consisted of noodles in a watery sauce, topped with a layer of congealed cheese with HUGE puddles of grease on it. I was starving, and had payed 12 dollars and waited half an hour for it, so I tried it anyway. I literally took two bites before getting overwhelmedfrom the grease.

    Great little place!

We recently visited NYC and ate at this place twice. We had burgers one night and pizza the other and thoroughly enjoyed both meals! The burgers were HUGE! We understand why it doesn't automatically come with fries, it's just too much food : ) We also tried the Chicago pizza (I think that's what it was called, it had a very thick crust) and it was tasty and quite filling. We also found the prices very reasonable.

    fake crabmeat!

just ordered from this place. got the neptune pizza and am SO PISSED about this. they used FAKE crabmeat! if you're ordering this and paying for this and thinking you're getting real crabmeat, forget about it. it's FAKE crabmeat. i don't mind fake crabmeat but don't state on the menu crab if it's not crab! buyer beware

    Great

I can honestly say that I ate in this restaurant the day they opened - many years ago. Most of the food has gone down hill since then espically the pizza. The only thing I can recommend without reservation is the burger and the steak fries - they are without a doubt the best in the area.

    A Staple in Repertoire

My husband and I order from here at least once a week. The food is always delicious and hot when it arrives. The gyro platter is by far our favorite, but the burgers, chili and sandwiches are also delicious. We love ordering from here and will continue to do so. For something quick and inexpensive, you can't beat it!

    Wonderful as usual

We ate there just today. As usual the burgers were wonderful. We also ordered a vanilla shake and it was fantastic. This is one of the best burger places I have found in NYC.

Decent food, not recommended for delivery

Our meal was not good because of poor service. After ordering two burgers and mozzarella sticks we waited 40 minutes. When we called to ask about the food we were told that the delivery guy was, "Walking out the door." Our food arrived 10 minutes later. The mozzarella sticks were cold and the burger buns were soggy.
