    big daddy's mess

agree with last reviewer - the delivery service is the worse - they've lost 2 of 3 orders and have wasted about 6 hours of my life waiting and listening to the staff explain how it was "on the way" or they "lost my ticket" or it was a "computer malfunction" - obviously it's not a one-time event - and there is no indication the mgmt or staff care to fix this - bottom line - do not order delivery - it's a big daddy mess.

Worst delivery service of all time

We've ordered 5x from this place, and 3 out of 5 orders have been "lost". The food has its merits, but the price point and service issues will cause us never to return. This place should skip the "theme" and spend some time on staffing / training / quality.

    The Best Place in NYC

The food is incredible, the service is poor.

    I love this place

I go to Big Daddy's all the time and I just have to say from a regular customers point of view this place is GREAT!! The staff is always so friendly and accomodating even though the restaurant is always so busy and they are always running around. The food is great, burgers are awesome and I LOOOOVE the Rocky Road pancakes. I go here at least twice a week and will continue to do so as long as they keep up the good work

    "Green Goodness!!"

My Lady lives across the street so I am forced to find food late night in Big Daddy's Hood..... When not up for L'Express I take my chances at BD's... The burgers are average and if you get the tater tots pray they come crispy not soggy like middle school... I just want to say one thing, please please buy real salad dressing specifically ranch... your green goddess is god awful... ---Thanks again for the wonderful experience, you'll see me again, I'll be the one with my lady in tow complaining about the green goddess, but wait, that could be a number of people, I'm sure.

    Below average food, understaffed?!

Had been wanting to check this place out for a a while, finally went, and I'll probably not go back. Took the food a long time to come out. Had the mini burgers - tasteless. The fries were way salty, as were the zucchini sticks and the onion rings. Husband had a mediocre turkey burger. Hostess seemed a bit frazzled, but I think they were shorstaffed so she was running around. I could always forgive so-so service if the food is great, but it is definitely not anything worth going back for especially for the prices. Cute place, but overall, skip it.

    No No No!

Went for dinner and had an atrocious experience. I would like to qualify this review by saying I am not someone who just complains. It takes a bit of encouragement. This we had. Our waitress could not remember our drink orders - they stayed on the bar counter. One was a milk shake. When we asked her where it was after a reasonable wait, she saw it on the counter, said "oops" and told my friend to send it back if it was too melted since she forgot. (!!) My beers suffered a similar fate but at least they don't melt. Hush puppies were served cold and tasting like leftovers. After being sent back a fresh batch was sent, and were marginally better. After being understanding about all of this we were served fried chicken so undercooked that bright red blood was exposed on the meat by the bone. We spoke with the manager who was very gracious, and to our surprise, comped our meal, but by then we had decided not to go back. The atmosphere is retro cute and the portions are large and reasonably priced, but this experience told us enough about the current state of the kitchen and service (for dinner anyway). I see great reviews for brunch so I will add I can't comment on that.
