Not recommended
Well we try again just order a simple turkey burger and they mess it up again. It really sucks when you get home and spent your hard earn cash and you think a simple turkey burger is what you ordered. Not that hard to cook a turkey burger and make it the way you ask for it. No onions, no mayo. Do not waste your time and money. There are many dinners in nyc , just try walking one or two more block in any direction.

Sub par and Overpriced
I used to eat here fairly often because it had decent comfort food and breakfast all day. Despite it being just a very overpriced diner i kept on coming back. However its been less and less often. They used to have a very large assorted menu which was great but now it was trimmed down alot. I went for the first time in approx 6 months a few weeks ago and when I asked for cream cheese for my toast (I was having an omelette, which was so-so) the waitress told me we don't have cream cheese. Not that they're out of cream cheese but its not offered. I think that really says it all. Stick to the diners or Le Express on 20th which is 24 hours too.

Daddy's little secret
I was seeing a person I do business with on lower Park Avenue, and was walking by Daddy's afterwards on a terribly hot and humid day. I caught a glimpse of myself in the plate glass window, and seeing my hair looking tired, and feeling the pressure on my little toes in my stilettos, I decided to stop in. Cold air, a salad and a martini can fix any girl up! And it did. The Alexander the Greek (tee hee) salad was delicious - love the artichikes and peppers baby - and the martini was ice cold and soothed. I was almost in nirvana with the delicious food and cocktail and my favorite waitress, until I saw a certain bottle blonde. And she was there with an ex. But, that's OK. I may just drag my new beau down there so next time I am not alone! In the mean time, I will keep coming for my salad and cocktails!

Terribly overpriced
Food is average, service is good and attentive but it is so so so overpriced! A salad should not cost $15! A mimosa should not cost $10! I think they forgot this was a diner and not a French restaurant. The ironic thing is you will get much better food at more reasonable prices at L'express, the french restaurant right around the corner! I am never eating here again!

Won't be going back
Used to be better-has consistently gone downhill but today's experience has permanently turned me off. Our order was a Greek salad and a grilled cheese sandwich. After 1/2 hour the food was delivered-my salad was basically greens with some chopped olives -most conspicuously missing was the feta and the pita chips-I waited for our server to come back to no avail. I finally took the salad to the bar and reported the issue and asked for a new salad. After another extended wait, the server reappeared without my salad and asked if she could just bring me a plate of feta on the side-which in my opinion was unacceptable-when paying $12 or more for a salad I really don't expect to assemble it myself. I asked to speak to the mgr. When she appeared after another extended wait she proceeded to let me know how busy they had been and that sometimes people just make mistakes. Having worked in food service before I let her know that her staffing and managerial issues shouldn't become the customer's issue. By this point the person I was dining with had finished so we paid for their meal and left in disgust. I have no intention of ever stepping foot into this poorly managed establishment with subpar food again.

Subpar food, service
Service was incompetent and sluggish. We waited at least 45 minutes for the waiter to take our order and then serve our food despite the fact that there were several waitresses chatting and doing nothing. Our 2 year old daughter was so hungry we had to ask for a plate of bread which she ate with ketchup. By the time our burgers arrived I was actually glad she had bread before because our burgers were charred (even though I asked for medium). The menu is so limited it's a misnomer to call it a diner. You can get a finer meal and a more plentiful menu at any regular diner, and for sure a shorter wait. This place is for clueless tourists and I feel taken having spent my money there. Needless to say, we'll never go back, and neither should you.

Dissapointed
It used to be OK, but they have a new menu that is VERY limited and they refuse to do any substitutions! Really? I'm never going back.
