A great addition to the UWS
My kids and I love Big Daddy's. They had a few bumps when they first first opened but they have really come a long way. It's a fun atmosphere. A great family place. The food is really good. The biggest asset is that it is nut free. My son has a peanut allergy and we don't need to worry. I think that it's a great addition to the neighborhood.

Don't Even Bother
Tried this new place in the neighborhood and I'm really sorry I did. The margaritas taste like super sweet smoothies with so little alcohol you can't taste it or feel it, so why bother? If you're going to charge me $9 for a drink, put some tequila in it, ok? The fried chicken tasted like a salt lick sitting in a pool of grease and the tater tots are no better than a school cafeteria. Good thing it was 1/2 price fried chicken night or we would have paid $17 for that. We tried a couple of the alcoholic milkshakes, which were tastey, but again, no booze. They sure think a lot of themselves with those kind of prices, but everying we tried was pretty terrible. Next time I'll go to Carmine's. Please don't patronize this place so it will close soon and we can get a decent restaurant on that corner that doesn't look like it belongs at Disneyland.

It's like eating at an amusement park
Ive been to BD more than a handfull of times both for Breakfast and Lunch. Lets start with breakfast. The eggs are awesome but the homefries are by far the poorest I have ever tried in my life. Pancakes are pretty darn good as well. Lunch well I cant really complain about the tatse which was very good and the fries were just as good but one thing I did notice is the size of the burger has shrunk by at least 25% since they first opened. Do you not think people would notice ? overall not a bad place but overpriced for the portions you get.

Incompetent Delivery Service
I've ordered 3 times. They are 0-for-3 on getting my order right. The last time it was almost as if they sent me someone else's order entirely. I tried a fourth time and they "were not delivering that day." Either you deliver or you don't, and if you do hire people with a pulse to do it. The food is pretty good, but if they don't get their act together very soon they will fail.

About what I expected
Went to BD with the fam the other day. First time I was there. Its crowded, cramped, loud (in volume and decor) but i found it fun and retro. Many large flat screens on the wall as well as multi-color flowers. Working (some) gumball machine line the back wall. Mini shopping carts on the table with trivial pursuit cards to keep you entertained until the food comes. GREAT idea for those with kids (ie. most of the uws :) I liked looking at all the old records and pics of stars (that your kids wont recognize) on the walls. Small food gaf in that we ordered a burger medium and it came red inside. To me that is rare. We were told ' that's how they do medium here' Well idk about that, medium is pink inside everywhere else :D In any case the burger was removed and a new one arrived very quickly. Unfortunately it was well done, no pink at all. But it was serviceable so it got eaten. And it was good. Kids loved the fries and tots. Salads are good, if not a bit expensive. The ribs, well honestly we like our usual BBQ joint better, but they weren't bad. They definitely were fall-off-the-bone-tender as promised. Turkey club was great and huge. It was my dinner, and lunch the next day :) Prices are a little high, but portions are large (on some items), so we got a lunch out of the take home bag. The shakes well, imho, they were a little off. Maybe over-blended, or too thin, or using powdered unnatural ingredients. I'm not sure which or what combination of the above threw them off. I think they are just trying to be to fancy about them. Keep it simpler! For a burger and shake place that's not to good. So a bit of a mixed review here. I will probably try them again sometime to have some variety, but they aren't on my 'order every week list'.

They should call it big mistake
I went to big daddy's thinking a new family fun 80's themed restaurant. A johnny rockets type of place, but when i got there and ordered there 24/7 breakfast omelette it was made from powdered eggs, and my milkshake contained so little ice cream it was just all milk. Over all horrible, extremely expensive and a waste.
