Service
They used to have a manager there that kept the service in shape. The last time I ordered, they threw my to go food onto the counter!

OMG!
This big Daddy's Location is the worst for delivery! I stress the fact that I want my beacon on the side. And wouldn't you know that they didn't! They sent no dressing no condiments. And to top It off. I call to advise them for their era, and what you know they kept me on hold for 10mins. And then when the manager pick up to answer, he kept me on hold for and extra 5 mins!

Don't waste your money or taste buds here!
I went for breakfast recently and totally regret it. We came inside and no one comes to greet you, we basically stood there for a while and decided to sit ourselves. Then, the waitress who finally decided to come to our table was the most unfriendly human being I've seen. We ordered eggs and pancakes and they we just ok, not great, and for their high prices we were disappointed. It's true what others have said, what a poorly run restaurant. It won't last very long......

Good, friendly local place
I live in the building above BDs. I go there all the time, often by myself. The servers are great. My order is always right and they do not rush me if I sit with my iPad. Much friendlier and more welcoming than City Diner across the street. Menu is limited and it is not cheap, but it is comfortable.

except for salads, stay away
Big Daddy's started out packed when it opened. But bad service, a smaller menu and mediocre food cured that and you can walk right in. Even omelettes don't taste great. The burger is thin and comes out well down, no matter how you order it. It's not cheap either. But the salads are fresh, tasty and large. The green goddess dressing is great. I haven't tried their desserts - perhaps those are ok.

Not recommended
Just placed a pick-up order for a turkey burger, this monstrosity is located right below my apt building, and was told it would be "12 minutes." When I showed up no one greeted me, or the poor old woman who was at the counter, and after waiting 15 minutes for them to figure out if my order was entered I was told "sorry, no one put it in". The old lady finally just left her money on the counter bc no one would give her the chance to pay. That was it. No apology, didn't bother to enter the order, basically was just told to go away. What a gimmicky, over priced, poorly run piece of junk. I have lived in Manhattan for 6 yrs and have never run into a place this bad.

Even my 7-year-old hated the food
The food is just plain unappetizing. The tater tots are probably from Costco and don't even equal Ore ida. My fries tasted like they had been fried in weeks-old grease. Nothing was edible and it would have been expensive even if the food had been good. Too loud. The servers are really nice, but, their "retro" outfits were not particularly flattering. Go to a real diner.
