Tried out with a hungry friend. For both of us,who are not picky eaters, to be so disappointed with the food - bad. We were sitting and not being given menus or any service until we stopped a waiter and took menus from his hand. None of the staff was doing their job,so when this place goes under they are part of the problem. Hamburger meat was dry and low quality. I wonder still how a rare burger can be dry!Cake was not fresh. Only taste was sweet! Place is always filled with children,I wonder why a parent would take children to such an expensive, poorly run diner. .

I've been here 2 times now. The first was as a chaperone with a group of HS students...they enjoyed it, the chaperones did not. The latter was with my boyfriend. Our waitress was overly perky to the point of being annoying (I've been a waitress myself, so I understand the need to 'put on a smile,' but this was over the top). The food is nothing special and majorly overpriced. Both times it was crowded and noisy. The decor is lively and kitschy but that's really the only memorable thing about the place. Overall, it's overpriced and obnoxious, and felt remarkably similar to a fishy Times Square tourist trap which shall not be named (but it rhymes with "Hubba Lump").

I hope to rename this place Big Disappearance. The waitor was a clueless idiot, and the food is over priced and not good. My six year old had lousy over fried chicken fingers. And, hello? Can you offer side orders of a vegetable, such as steamed broccoli or string beans? Where do they think they are, Times Square? Thank God there are plenty of fabulous diners in the city. This place deserves to leave as quickly as it came.

I really love pancakes and the pancakes here are just 'okay.' If I am going to pay UES prices I expect the food to be melt in your mouth good! The service was decent and the place is VERY cute! My friend had a hamburger when she was here and said it was terrible as did the man at the table next to us. Our food was quickly packed into doggie bags and given to homeless man nearby. It's a very cute place as I mentioned before but, I would only come here if you are looking for a sweet fix (the milkshakes and sundaes are excellent).

Ordered from Big Daddy's a couple of weeks ago. We were excited to see it was open and gave it a try. Unfortunately, the food fell well short of our expectations. The one bright spot were the tater tots, but even they were a bit soggy. The rest of our choices were just not good. Hopefully it is just start-up issues, but from the sounds of the other reviews it doesn't seem that way.

My Wife and I have ordered from Big Daddy many times and the quality has gotten worse and worse! We ordered French Dip and Blue Berry Pie and the dip was saltier than a salt bagel and the meat as dry as leather! The pie was a small "scoop" of berries and two "scoops" of crumbs as hard as pebbles.

The tatertots and the milkshakes were really great. But $9 for a hot dog!!!!?? The prices are absolutely ridiculous and so was the wait to get my food on a Sunday afternoon at 3pm. They should really think of discounting their prices if they want people to continue coming back.
