Went with my 2 yo daughter during the week - lots of other kids & nickelodeon on TV helped. Food is on pricier side - but came out pretty quickly. Thought pancakes were good and service was good and accommodating to child's needs.

We tried Big Daddy's for dinner tonight and while we found the service to be acceptable, the food was very mediocre. Our burgers were bland and the buns were dry and tasted stale. The fries were too salty and over cooked. Would I go back? With so many other choices for burger fare in the neighborhood, I doubt it.

Sure the atmosphere was funky but the food was tasteless and overpriced and the service was unfriendly and slow. I will not go back. Be warned, even though the menu looks good with funny names of dishes, it is overall not a good place to eat.

This is a roomy place which would be great if I had my kids in strollers, but that's all that I can say on the positive side. Very high prices for mediocre food. I wouldn't return.

I went to brunch this Sunday morning with my husband and a few other friendsit was the last time I will return. The food is actually pretty good (especially the breakfast food), but the service is horrendous what's worse, though, is that the management's attitude is just as bad - and that's where the problem really lies. Our waiter hurried us to order (despite there not being any wait for tables), and was, overall, way below average. When ordering, my husband clearly pointed to "Apple Jacks" pancakes on the menu as the server took down his order. When our food came out, the server brought a bowl of Apple Jacks cereal! (Why would you EVER purposely put two items on the menu with the same name?) While this mistake could have been rectified if the server quickly placed the right order, and promptly sent out the pancakes, it took 20 minutes for my husband's food to come back out. For pancakes!! At the end of the meal, we asked the waiter if we could get the "Apple Jacks" taken off the bill, given the mix-up and the fact that it took an extremely long time to get the right food. The waiter went and checked with the manager, and he came back and said it "wasn't possible" to take the pancakes off the bill. But the server DID take the time to point out that the apple jacks CEREAL was not on the bill. Thanks so much! "Not possible"?? Any restaurant that has that attitude is not one that I need to frequentwhat the manager should have known is that taking off a lousy $9 meal was a lot less expensive than losing 5 diners in the future, which is exactly what he did. There are tons of cute brunch/dinner places on the Upper East Side - definitely skip Big Daddy's if you want to avoid aggravation and terrible customer service.

I came here for breakfast on Sunday morning. We were seated right away, however the waitress did not come by for at least 10 minutes. We have ordered coffee and orange juice but then that did not come for another 5 minutes. When we ordered it took about 45 minutes to get our food and all we ordered was scrambled eggs and pancakes. When the food came , after countless people seated after me had gotten their food, there was no butter, syrup, sugar, and the waitress.... no where in sight. The food was good but the experience overall was disheartening.

The food here is just okay. The place is so cute - its hard not to want to try it. The major problem with the whole place is the food is waaaaay overpriced for dinner food with nothing special.
