Dessert yes, food never
If you go, and the atmopshere and theme is great, do not order the food. It's pretty clear they are using a lot of frozen, mass produced stuff -- burger patties, chicken, etc. The ice cream and shakes were fantastic. It's pretty expensive for the kind of place it is. So if you know what you're getting, you will not leave disappointed.

Not The Best
One night, I went to big daddy's with my younger sister, and a few family members. We ordered our food and it took a while to get here. The music was so loud, we had to ask some one who worked there to lower the music, which was no use. The food came, it was ok, but VERY greasy and not really what I asked for (not what I expected either). I wouldn't recomend it.

Waste of time
This place was just all around bad. Too loud, lame food and subpar service.

Poor service!
The past two times I've come into this restaurant, I had to wait over 20 minutes to even get a menu handed to me and finally had to walk out after waiting for about 20 more minutes and still not even seeing a glimpse of my waitress or waiter. Each time, staff was limited but there were only 3 or 4 occupied tables, so I don't understand how service could be so bad. Food is good, though overpriced....would recommend other local diners over this place for value and service.

Really SG?
Great food. Cheese fries are excellent. SG from your December review: you spoke to people in your neighborhood and you all agree the prices should be lower? Really? I don't believe you. And you sound ridiculous. I spoke to neighbors and we all agree that rent is too much so if it was lowered we would all be happy.

gotta love it
milke shakes and burgers just feel so good eating this food reminds me of being a kid again they have 2 locations upper east side lots more kids

Luv me some Big Daddys
I grew up eating burgers and fries, so my tastebuds are pretty discerning on this topic. Last time I visited the Daddy's UES my burger was juicy, hot and satisfying. I like cheese, and they generously gave me cheese, the bun was soft and my tots were perfectly cooked, steaming on the break. I brought my mother with me and she squealed in nostalgic delight at first sip of her apparently authentic strawberry shake--the older crowd knows what they like in this department. Way to go Daddy's! The whole family was bouncing in our booth to the tunes. We had a great time!
