I brought my sister and nephew to "Big Daddy's" and it was a "HUGE" disappointment. I wanted to start the day off-(New York City experience- Circle Line, Empire State Bldg, etc.) with a good breakfast and everything went wrong! We sat for 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Once we ordered- our breakfast took 30 minutes to get to the table- and really- no exagerration- the order was wrong! Two out of four orders were wrong. I have eaten at the PAS location and it wasn't bad- but the UES location is really in trouble. We had two orders of Eggs Benedict and the "Hollandaise" sauce was unrecognizable. Really not a good experience- I try to be fair with restaurants because I love to cook and know how difficult it can be to please- but breakfast is not brain surgery!~ The Hostess was a bit obnoxious and tried to give us 10% off coupons for out next meal! I really am not a hater but I was besides myself with the choice I made to make an impression for my big NYC tour with my family. I just hope that the management reads these comments-only to improve a great idea for this restaurant. I love the tater tots and have had great omelets in the PAS location. The "idea" is great, but it needs to translate accross the board.

If you want your kids to have a party, this is a good place to have it since kids don't usually care about the food or noise. On the other hand, if you care about the food you're (over)paying for, avoid this place. The food is bad, and in addition, the noise level (due to the music as well as the parties and kids who tend to be there?) is unbearable. I will never go there again.

The food served at Big Daddy's is amazing. The french fries are some of the best in NYC. The mac 'n cheese is great and so are the pancakes. Overall I think this is a great diner and gives you an amazing eating experience.

If you go, and the atmopshere and theme is great, do not order the food. It's pretty clear they are using a lot of frozen, mass produced stuff -- burger patties, chicken, etc. The ice cream and shakes were fantastic. It's pretty expensive for the kind of place it is. So if you know what you're getting, you will not leave disappointed.

One night, I went to big daddy's with my younger sister, and a few family members. We ordered our food and it took a while to get here. The music was so loud, we had to ask some one who worked there to lower the music, which was no use. The food came, it was ok, but VERY greasy and not really what I asked for (not what I expected either). I wouldn't recomend it.

This place was just all around bad. Too loud, lame food and subpar service.

The past two times I've come into this restaurant, I had to wait over 20 minutes to even get a menu handed to me and finally had to walk out after waiting for about 20 more minutes and still not even seeing a glimpse of my waitress or waiter. Each time, staff was limited but there were only 3 or 4 occupied tables, so I don't understand how service could be so bad. Food is good, though overpriced....would recommend other local diners over this place for value and service.
