Hooters on the Rhine
If you want to see pretty waitresses in German bar waitress blouses, with lots of cleavage, this is the place to go. The space is large and comfortable but you have to walk up a couple flights to get there. But if you want good food, this is not the place. I ordered a bratwurst lunch to go. The wurst were cold and undercooked. Then potato salad and sauerkraut bland . The prices were a little higher than should be. $1 for extra mustard.

The loudest place you'll ever be in
Food and service were perfectly ok, but the restaurant was so loud because of music and people screaming that it was unbearable. And this was on a Saturday afternoon at 4:30. I can only imagine what the din would be like on a Friday or Saturday night. Sure, a bierhalle should be rollicking, but too many people seemed to confuse that with shouting nonstop at the top of their lungs. Go buy a hot dog from a street vendor and stand next to a guy working a jackhammer for a more relaxing time. Also, a surprisingly limited selection of draft beers--only Muenchener HB items, which have always seemed pretty uninteresting to me.

Prost!
heard about this place and was dying to try it. Went on a Wednesday around 4:45p which was good to get one of the last seats. Long, communal tables (perfect for the place!) lots of German decor, including music, and waitresses dressed traditionally (although much cuter than some of the ones i remember from Germany). Bier was great (lots of HB choices) food was good (pretzels - YUM!) and the place got packed! Huge spot for the after work crowd and seats at tables got hard to find. It get loud in there too - but that's to be expected with the greenhouse ceiling. Nice outside porch too! Will definitely go back - and my Bavarian Aunt who was with me really enjoyed herself!
