We arrived rather late for dessert only. The restaurant had very few guests since the dinner crowd had already dissipated. The waiter offered us water. We never asked for refills and since we were 4, we did not notice that he kept bringing more. Unfortunately, when we received the bill, he had charged $8.00 per bottle for 3 bottles. I am not accustomed to getting unrequested refills on expensive items. I felt that this was done to simply augment the bill. This was very disappointing.

I ate at Bice for a few times, the food was really fantastic. A real authentic Italian cuisine. And the service was very good, the waiters and staff were very friendly.

I went to Bice with some girlfriends for Restaurant Week, expecting a non-chalant attitude from the staff since we weren't ordering from their full menu. We received quite the opposite...not only was the hostess fantastic, but she had the manager personally seat us at one of their few outdoor tables. We took our time in ordering, since we were enjoying several bottles of wine...and our waiter never pressed us to order immediately. He was very friendly, helpful, patient and even fun. When we finally ordered, we were pleased with the selection of dishes on the "Summer Menu." Each of us enjoyed our food, especially the grilled eggplant and goat cheese appetizer, and the baked scrod entree. Our only negative comment about the restaurant is that the outdoor area was quite noisy, as their was a trash compactor facility directly across the street (which would have been why we got a table outside so easily). Regardless, I highly recommend Bice to anyone!

The food is top-notch and the service is excellent. The atmosphere is very discreet. Great pasta dishes.
