    I left hungry

Really really liked the food but what's with the small portions for the kababs? They might as well increase the price but give more quantity.

    Unworthy Food

Others may have said a lot of things about this place. For myself and our friends ,we felt it is just another regular Indian Place with curries and some tandoor cooking which spoke of nothing but some more regular Indian Stuff. It is Unworthy of elaborate fancy comments. Ordinary.

    Where was bhatti before

I moved to new York like 7 years back tried all the indian places but was not able to find the north indian taste..I was went to curry hill and saw beautiful place I would say top notch and saw a line out side and that's it I ordered take out from bhattti, the best of every thing and there food is authentic typical punjabi food there kababs are orgasmic..I am sure this place is final destination for good north indian food.

    Stuffed Mushrooms and Prawns

Went last night for dinner. Had the Prawns in gravy (shahi gilaawat), the mushroom stuffed with cheese appetizer (bharwaan) and marinated chicken appetizer (tandoori murgh). All were delicious and would have again in a heart beat. I like this restaraunt because it allows me to try more than the typical "Curry Hill" food offerings (I'd never tried prawns at an Indian restaurant before) without compromising my budget. Next time I go back, I plan on trying the Shahi Gilawwat (the lamb kebab that melts in your mouth). The table next to me was raving about it, but I was just too stuffed.

    Great food!

The food is fabulous. I'm from India and this is the best northern Indian food I have been able to find in New York that is not outrageously priced. The Dal Bhatti was superb.

    Excellent

Having been open less than a week, I can already say this is the best Indian restaurant in Curry Hill. Everything is so fresh and seasoned to perfection. I am eating leftovers today for lunch and the paneer is still so soft. Definitely will stand out among the other Indian restaurants in the stretch on Lexington Avenue. My only suggestions: consider not charging for rice and getting larger water glasses. Service was great- especially since we went the first weekend they were open. Staff is knowledgeable, accomodating, and friendly.
